It's 5am and I have nothing better to do.

Every SEC team but South Carolina won on day 1.

Games with SEC teams on Day 2:

OU v Missouri - winner's bracket, yawn another OU win

Auburn v Clemson - winner's bracket, go War Tigers

Stanford v UF - winner's bracket, UF needed a walk-off to beat Loyola Marymount, this program has fallen. Things haven't been the same since the old pitching coach left to go to OU, her alma mater.

Bama v Middle Tenn - winner's bracket, Bama will win

Northwestern v Kentucky - winner's bracket, Kentucky hit a ton of HRs yesterday to run rule their opponent, if they stay hot at the plate they win this regional.

Texas v Texas A&M - winner's bracket, A&M needed a walkoff to beat Texas St. Horns will win, and take the regional for sure.

Vols v Indiana - winner's bracket. Vols will win, take the regional on Sunday, easily.

Utah v Ole Miss - winner's bracket, Utah probably takes it, sees Ole Miss again in the final on Sunday, wins the regional

LSU v Louisiana - winner's bracket, LSU wins, wins regional on Sunday. Very impressive offense from them on day 1.

Arkansas v Oregon - winner's bracket, picking Arky to win and win the regional.

Georgia v Va Tech - winner's bracket, picking Georgia to win, and win the regional.

South Carolina v Marist - loser's bracket, Carolina wins, faces UCF again, wins, plays FSU and loses, season over.

I see the SEC winning 8 of the regionals.

My guess for the super regionals:
#16 Clemson at #1 OU
#15 Utah at #2 UCLA
#14 Georgia at #3 FSU
#13 Texas at #4 Vols
Kentucky at #5 Bama
#11 Arky at #6 Ok St
#10 LSU at #7 Washington
#9 Stanford at #8 Duke
Bold goes on to the CWS. If anyone has a shot to beat OU, I think it's FSU. Their coach is good and will have a solid plan for handling OU's offensive production. LSU's bats are hot right now, you never know, maybe they could outscore OU. Vols have good pitching but OU's bats rarely go cold.

Softball is pretty much pointless to discuss. No one is beating Oklahoma!

Nice breakdown.

Jen Rocha was really a big part of UF, but we also haven't gotten the top pitchers from high school, which will change come next season. I am very curious to see if UF gets back to the top with the infusion of talent on the mound.

Alabama should get through their regional. But with Fouts being injured, it looks like OKC is a long shot. Offense is not good.

UCLA losing their first game was a big surprise.

I wish it were that simple but its not. This team is a bit less good at starter position (than last year) but better/deeper thru the whole roster. They can be beat the challenge is to do it twice. They have 4 pitchers who are all aces and Patty mixes them up well.

Once we and tx move to SEC, that conf will be the premo softball mecca. West coast has slipped and the 2 seed UCLA lost to Grand Canyon (who?) last night. Starting in 24 just getting thru SEC will be like winning the title. With softball getting more viewers than baseball those conf games will be huge audiences.

Does anyone have any inside info on a softball coach possibly looking to throw the big game?

I think UF needs a total overhaul offensively. Pitching has really gone down from what it was the entire time Rocha was there, but they must figure out how to score runs. When they won those titles they were very good at manufacturing runs. Not any more.

If you remember the 2017 world series final, game 1 against OU went like 700 innings. Great game, and UF had the better pitching and better defense, but not the better hitting. OU won game 1 in a marathon and you knew the loser of that game would be so deflated that it was over. OU won it easy in game 2. OU won because up and down the lineup they could hit. No easy outs.

UF must find a suitable replacement for Rocha and they have to hit better. There is no possibility of any championship from division to national ever again, if the run scoring does not improve.

I don't see a change though - OU has a good NIL scheme and I believe their female athletes get a good piece of that in a blanket deal. OU fans probably know.

UF is just not an NIL powerhouse, so I don't see UF getting back to glory.

You don't have to worry about a jinx. OU will win it all. Good for them, bad for the sport.

I saw her get hurt and thought she would be ok after a day or so, but if she's not, and it appears she won't be, then I expect Bama to win the regional but that's about it. She'll be hard to replace for them moving forward.

Why is it bad for the sport when viewership (and interest) is up every year and even beating baseball? If it was bad viewers wouldn’t tune in. Its giving softball visibility which will cause more younger girls to play it and then you will have more (and better) players overall. This will create more talent to go around.

I just don’t see how its bad for the sport. America had Americas Cup and that was the longest dominence of any sport and they were drawing so many fans. Once they lost doninence the sport went downhill. Every sport has had its dominence and it eventually creates more parity.
