Today is the first time I felt like we let the pressure get to us. Hopefully we got that out of our system today. Looking forward to the rest of this tournament.

Oh we are in now. I just want to make the sweet 16. It’s been a long time for us. Stansbury quandered so many elite 8 or better talented teams with early exits in the tourney
2004 being the worst. 26-4, SEC overall champs with a 14-2 conference record. Undefeated in OOC. Lost to Vandy first game of SECt. Lost in round of 32 to Xavier by 15. A team we beat by 12 in regular season

That Xavier game was one of the worst things I have ever experienced in person.
In Orlando, we destroyed the 15 seed Monmouth in the first round and Xavier upset Louisville. We had beaten them on the road by 15 early in the season.
We went back and forth in the first half and they hit a 2/3 of the Court heave to take the lead at halftime. Then came out and whipped us all over the place in the second half.
That was the year that St Joseph’s was the media darling and 1 seed. Xavier made a run to the Elite Eight and started a run of being a good team for a good years.
