Kentucky's Oline is better than Alabama's.
Keelon Russell is special.
I don't have the balls to pick Kentucky.
I think Russell makes enough plays to pull it out late.
He did say Russell is gonna get hurt if he doesn't slide more.

Without Carroll I can see that as the narrative, I have real questions about how the interior line does at opening run lanes.
But I will point out that Olaus Alinen is starting for UK at Guard.
Alinen was at Bama last year and was behind both of the guys who will start tomorrow for Bama (plus Carroll), (neither of whom started for Bama last year) went to Kentucky and is starting immediately.
So their starting guard wasn’t good enough to be in the top 3 at Bama and would’ve likely been behind our current #4.
Sometimes guys are a better fit somewhere else but when your starter wouldn’t break the two deep at the school you’re being told you’re better than there are some real questions about the quality of the analysis.

Ugh, Kentucky is generating hype and while there is a pretty good chance they get better and knock off someone this year, I just don't see it. I know the sample is small and for the most part the level of competition is meaningless, but I haven't seen anything to make me think the balance has shifted that much between the 2 and a Kentucky win would be anything but a monumental upset. I mean, one can hope...but I wouldn't put money on that one.

I've seen several of the talking heads pointing to this as a potential upset. Just don't see what has them spun up.

In a situation where two OLs are basically rebuilt from scratch via the portal however claiming one is better than the other when you have objective data points suggesting the opposite is questionable.
Kentucky:
Your LT and C on paper should be really good. I’ve heard questionable things about the kid from OSU, but he’s a proven starter. Wood seems like he has size and upside at RT
Bama
LT: a 5* at LT who graded out top 5 with PFF. Young but likely an early NFL guy
LG: two guys fought it out for the starting role both will start today due to injury
C: has a lot of experience but at a lower level, he’s quick but needs to prove he can handle SEC strength
RG: Carroll is an AA level guy, he’s just hurt
RT: transfer from MS ST, looked really good week one against ECU
With Carroll I’d lean Bama, if he’s out I’m not sure.

Could have a rainfest today. Kickoff may even be delayed. Looking at the forecast for today, it does look like things have improved favorably from what they were predicting yesterday here. We're all clear outside right now here in Lexington but it looks like we've got a bit of a storm front headed our way coming from east of Nashville.

I think UK makes some noise. The pressure is more on Bama to show they aren’t in tDecline. Bama probably wins this by 2 scores in the end.
