Dat Nguyen was one of the greatest college LB's to ever play the game.

Back in the 90's, while living in Boulder, Mrs. Pimp called distant cousin Dat and he secured tickets to the CU vs. Aggie games (2 different seasons), and left them at will call for us. After the games we were able to talk with him and on the second occasion (a big Aggie top 10 win) coach RC Slocum saw us outside the locker room, and motioned us in to see a couple minutes of the post game celebration before they closed the locker room. Pretty cool stuff.

Dat got a HUGE turf burn on his forearm, and while everybody was taking pictures with him some Aggie woman grabbed his arm and although it was excruciating, he was too polite to say anything. He was too much of a gentleman.

That guy was a flat BEAST on the field. One of the best college linebackers I ever saw.

I offer this in the spirit of good will between LSU and your far shitter, vanilla-boring school, that we may again beat the living horse shite out of you. And out of mad respect for Dat , who played for your cult-like male cheerleader school.

There's never been anyone better at knowing where the ball was going to be.

He was so freaking instinctive and crazy quick. Plus he did that airborne tackle thing at least once a game. I loved watching him.

Now suck it Aggies.

How did he play at least 51 games, log 517 tackles and average 10.7 tpg?

Not taking away from his career accomplishments but those #s don't add up

Yeah it should be 10.1 per game. He started every game from 95-98 I believe

In 2005 he was named to the Big 12 Conference's 10th Anniversary Team.

Dat Nguyen was Troy Polomalu without the flowing locks back in the day.

Considering LSUs performance in the 90s it's understandable you would assume 48 is the highest number possible

Bleacher Report isn't an A&M website or message board, or a message board at all

Their best one was Quinton Coryatt. I don't know where you got that because for him not to be listed is wrong

Coryatt was 2nd overall pick AA All SWC SWC POY

Learn CFB History before you make GOAT thread claim
