I was in the end zone when Mack threw the pick to end it. Such a great game, even though our boys came out on the losing side. McFadden and Jones were beasts that game. Worked out for LSU in the end though.

I still preach that Darren McFadden is the best RB I’ve ever seen in college. Every time he touched the ball I held my breath. What a gifted athlete

As painful as it was, I’m lucky to say I was in attendance for this game. SEC football at its finest

Nope, he never said that. He said that his team was the only undefeated team "in regulation", which was accurate. Still, a dumb thing to say, but that was Les.

No kidding. You typed all that to tell me what Les meant? Losing to Kentucky and Arkansas and the latter at home was a bad look for a so-called worthy BCS team. In Cajun speak, take an asterisk out of petty cash, and have a seat.

It’s sad that team lost 5 games. They lost to Alabama & Auburn by a total of 5 points.

McFadden was truly an amazing talent.

R-kansas never recovered from that azz-beatin' in the 2008 Cotton Bowl losing 38-7. Mizzou's Tony Temple just scored another TD for the Cotton Bowl rushing record (still stands).

Darren McFadden frickin' WHO??? Here comes the "no coach" baby excuse, I guarantee. McFadden had one lonely trash TD when the game was over.

Mizzou broke 'em, bent 'em over and finished the dirty in front of the world.

Hillis was really good, but of course, was overshadowed by McFadden and Jones.

Hillis had great hands and could move really well for a 240 pound RB.

I was at the Auburn game. The worst play calling that I have seen in person. Pee wee football level.

The Alabama game was lost in the final minute.

Arkansas led 20-14 at the half against Kentucky but lost 42-29.

Arkansas didn't bother to show up against Tennessee and got blown out.

Missouri in the Cotton Bowl. Players quit and they got blown out.

An undisciplined team that was lazy in some games and played hard in others.

Michael Smith was overshadowed by Hillis.

One of the best and worst football games I’ve attended. I remember riding up to Baton Rouge and we were already talking about going to tigerland after the game.

Once the game ended I remember everyone was so exhausted we just drove back home to New Orleans.one of my friends still will randomly say “we got that wood right here”

Crazy game in a completely crazy season.

Two players that I have watched that were in a rare category of elite.

Darren McFadden and Matt Jones.

Darren McFadden
Felix Jones
Peyton Hillis
Michael Smith

We may not see a collection of RBs like this in awhile. Which makes the 06 and 07 seasons so devastating.

Holy shite. I completely forgot that was a 7-6 game in the 3rd quarter. It ended 50-48

I was in the North End Zone that day.

Before the Ark 4th & 10 in the 1st OT was incredibly loud--one of the loudest moments I've ever experienced in Tiger Stadium. After Hillis caught the ball, it never got that loud again.

After the game was the quietest I've ever heard Tiger Stadium.

What an incredibly frustrating game.

Casey Dick is the head coach at Fayetteville High School. He won a state title recently.
