Sadly McFadden had a tragic career at Arkansas and in the NFL.

No championship level hardware and no heisman to his name. He got drafted to Oakland and was injured. Then he was with Dallas and got injured again. He struggled staying healthy.

Not his fault though and was put through some tough situations.

I have always wondered, what would Petrino have done with those 06 and 07 teams?

Amazing backfield. No championships or Heisman for any of them. LSU used that loss to win the next 2. Arkansas fired their head coach after.

LSU never lost in regulation that season. First 2 loss champ until this past season. When was Arkansas last football championship?

Houston Nutt in a nice wrapper there. One of the best backfields in NCAA history and we were mildly above mediocre. We would win a game no one would think we could win, and lose two or three that everyone thought we would win.

A really good LSU team that just ran into a rushing attack buzz saw. Classic game, an all time great matchup between the Hawgs and Tigers, but a perfect representation of just how screwed up things were under Nutt.

Great post. I remember that game. That's college football at its finest.

McFadden’s legs were so skinny. I didn’t remember that. I wonder if he had spent more time in the weightroom if he would have had a better NFL career?

Don’t remind me. That nearly cost us the national championship.

That game sucked. But we won the natty so IDGAF. Y’all ended 8-4 what a waste of a great backfield.
