How did the rest of that season go for LSU?

Too bad Arkansas couldn't play like that during the season.

That was an impressive backfield for sure

One of the better rushing performances I’ve ever seen. Even though we lost that day, I’ll always top my hat to DM

I remember that game well.
What I didn't remember until I watched the video in the OP is McFadden fumbling the ball several times in the first quarter, yet losing none of them!
What a wild and crazy game, as it usually is between the Hawgs and Tigers.

I was at that one. For like 7 hours, it took forever to lose.

Houston Nutt in a nice wrapper there. One of the best backfields in NCAA history and we were mildly above mediocre. We would win a game no one would think we could win, and lose two or three that everyone thought we would win.
A really good LSU team that just ran into a rushing attack buzz saw. Classic game, an all time great matchup between the Hawgs and Tigers, but a perfect representation of just how screwed up things were under Nutt.

quote:Yeah, LSU knew the entire top 10 was gonna lose to allow them to backdoor into the title game with two losses before they even played us. They didn't care about this game at all.
Arkansas' Superbowl

I've had nightmares of that Arkansas Running game. Was so hard to watch.
All's well that ends well so the season was still a success but man that was a game. I enjoyed watching McFaddens career flourish afterward.

quote:Felt awful for him as soon as he got drafted. Had to play behind one of the worst O-lines in the NFL at Oakland through his prime, then got to Dallas behind a good O-line at nearly 30 years old and immediately rushed for 1,100 yards.

What could have been...
