nah, they were still running plays even after the game was over.

We're witnessing the beginnings of the largest melt in Rant history... First LSU fires their coach on the spot during the first month of the season after an emotional loss... And then when Herman doesn't accept the HC job later this year.. Watch out.
LSU won't hire the guy they want which will lead many to miss Miles and tie the day they fired him. That will lead them back to this game and this one play.
"The refs (REC) got Miles fired!"

It is impossible to snap the ball in one second.
Unlikely, but not impossible.

Illegal motion on that play. The guy who caught the ball was an illegible receiver. You lost.
And Etling was across the line of scrimmage when he threw the ball.
But watching the Melt is worth it

I believe Etling. Referees in the state of Alabama are known cheaters.
Every fricking year it's the same bullshite excuse.

Illegible receiver? What.... he couldn't read? Guys name was Chark

That would be an illiterate receiver. An Illegible one would be not being able to decipher his handwriting.
Come to think of it, it's LSU, so both are probably true.

Maybe if the players hadn't been dragging arse on the drive down the field LSU wouldn't have been put in that situation...

There are rumors the players were about to mutiny and that is one reason Alleva acted so quickly. Maybe Etling waited until the clock was 0 and then the the TD pass just to stick it to Miles.
Miles gets a loss, Etling and the Tigers look like heroes (if only for a second).

Tell your WRs to get out of bounds when they catch the ball and this wouldn't have been an issue.

Actually it was the TE that was ineligible receiver, from my understanding, not the WR who caught pass. Regardless play wouldn't have stood.
Really only posted to ask what is an "illegible receiver"? One that can't write well?

It's a receiver that the defense can't read.
