I know he will never win an SEC or National Championship at State, and I know Starkville is a hellhole, but face it, Mississippi State is a much better fit for Mullen than all three of these jobs. At first glance, Florida seems most likely to lure Mullen away if offered. However, Mullen would refuse an offer from Florida despite the fact that he could potentially win championships there. When he was the OC at Florida his family was miserable. His wife had to drive to Orlando to go to the grocery store because if she went to a store in Gainesville she would get harassed by Gator fans that were upset with the offense. Furthermore, this whole debacle with McElwain just proves how ridiculous fan exceptions are at that school. You get fired after back-to-back SEC East Championships? Really?

Texas A&M has all the money and resources to compete for championships, but A&M is like a cult or something. Just a bunch or weirdos doing weird things all the time. Nobody in their right mind would want to be associated with that level of weird.

Finally, He would never go to Tennessee. Like Nebraska, Tennessee has become a second tier program in the 21st century. High school football in Tennessee is not good. Mississippi High School football is better. Tennessee will never be elite again, but their fans don't realize this. They have unreasonable expectations. All Mullen has to do is win 7/8 games a year at State to keep their fans happy. Tennessee has absolutely no shot at Mullen.

Still nothing more weird and gay than a grown man barking in the face of another man.

Mullen would leave for other conference job but he has it made at state. If I were him I wouldn’t leave for Tennessee or UF.

Nope we need to keep losing so our AD can’t justify keeping Matt Luke.

Mullen is what he is. A good coach that took a bad program to mediocrity. He's never beaten a great team. He's never finished ranked in the top 10. He's only won 10 games one time. He's never challenged for the west title.

I would expect A&M to get someone better (more skins on the wall) or someone with potential. He may or may not end up better, but not settling for a slight upgrade over Sumlin.

There is a lot of wishful thinking in this post. You seem scared he might go to UF.

I don't buy that Orlando bullshite for a second. You know how far that is? If she went 30 minutes down the road to Ocala she would have been fine.

Mullen will be a Gator... Why not, can win NC, better facilities, better players, does not have to play Bama and Auburn... I can see why UGA would not want him at Florida.

It might not be the worst thing. Let him stay one more season with the sanctions being handed down and then do a coaching search when less of the other SEC teams are hiring,

Just a thought, not bullshitting you man.

Yeah it just depends how bad our sanctions are. I think most fans I talked to at the game yesterday are ready for all new people on the staff. I don’t want anyone on campus that was part of freeze’s staff. We need a total rebuild.
