I said the same thing. Pitcher touching 98-99 and 2B playing up the middle is a head scratcher. That was a great AB all the same.

Free baseball. Rabe wasn't bad in that inning. Those were some really quality ABs the Texas hitters were stringing together. Especially with two strikes.

Great game. OU was down 0-4 in T1, then 4-7 in 6th. And won 8-7 with a run in B8 and held em in T9
Cam Johnson had his first bad outing. All pitchers do so am hoping he shakes it off for his next game next week.
OU outhit Aggies 13-6. We had 13 K’s and gave up 11 walks. 7 by Cam in 2.1 innings.

We need a short stop. I just dropped in after our basketball team advanced to the quarters. It’s just hard to be invested in baseball. Empty stands and ESPN+. I try. But the metal bats etc.

Its 1 game of 30 conference games. Too early to make declarations. We were 14-16 last year. Every game is important but game 1 is not indicative of teams yet. I worry about Cam Johnson having yips. He got em last year and got benched. Has been great all season until tonight. Will be huge if he can pitch well next week. If not it means we will need another starter.

Still pissed. Think our starter had a complete game shutout in him tonight and Mizzou’s frickery forced us to burn our closer.
