Agree.

He has several things working against him right now.

1. He's not going to get as many Georgia recruits anymore with Kirby at UGA.

2. Other surrounding programs like FSU, UNC, UT, USC, Duke, and Auburn are collectively a lot better than they were five years ago. There's a lot more competition in the neighborhood.

3. High profile QB's have to be a little concerned about Clemson right now. DJ and Klubnik are five star recruits that have looked like shite there the last few years.

4. I don't know that too many college coaches (except Deion) "like" NIL and/or the transfer portal, but it goes against Dabo's nature. He wants to develop young men in his program rather than bring in mercenaries with their hands out. He will struggle with that more than most coaches.

It appears that "Clemsoning" is a thing again.

Wrong, but one thing is for sure you're an idiot. Clem is playing a team that won 9 games last year and playing on the road.

Did Oklahoma ruin 2 programs when they hired Vanables?

I think Dabo caught a very lucky break in that Spurrier sort of retired... about two seasons before he bothered to stop coaching. In a very fertile recruiting ground Dabo got to run hog wild for a couple of years and loaded up with talent.

Things have shifted back to normal now and Clemson, with no insult, is just a good program again.

His backwards stance on NIL and the portal are reasons why Clemson will fade as a power and why Dabo won't get a shot at a truly top level job.

FSU looks like a playoff level team. Or is LSU just really that bad? Guess we will know soon enough.

This is always the question after the first week or 2. I really hope for the former.

And it's glorious to see. It's just a shame South Carolina probably won't be able to take advantage of it.

Dabo won't use the magic portal to shore up the problem areas. That is weird given that Clemson players are leaving through it. He has corned himself in the nonsense that they are one big Christian family, no matter what, and seems too willing to live and die with that concept. Loyalty to coaches and players is good to a point, but if you aren't getting it done then you have to cut your losses and get in that magic portal.

He could change. Maybe the lord will have a long talk with him.
