God, I hope we don't hire his arse when Saban leaves.
I'm with you but if he came to Bama and wanted to erase the memory of Saban by winning 10+ NCs, I'd be down.

If the n word is so bad, can we please ask Blacks to stop using it in public with such indiscretion? I hear it every where I go in Atlanta. It is disgusting.
So I have a hard time buying the supposed pain they feel when they hear a White person use it.
Just stop using it.

Clemson being a super racist institution is nothing surprising.
I mean, their signature building on campus is named after 'Pitchfork' Ben Tillman...
quote:
Tillman also aided in the initiation of Jim Crow laws in South Carolina, which would last nearly a century until the Civil Rights movement of the 1950s and 1960s.
quote:
He was initially unsuccessful, though he was instrumental in the founding of Clemson University as an agricultural land-grant college. In 1890, Tillman took control of the state Democratic Party, and was elected governor. During his four years in office, 18 black Americans were lynched in South Carolina; in the 1890s the state had its highest number of lynchings of any decade. Tillman tried to prevent lynchings as governor, but also spoke in support of the lynch mobs, alleging his own willingness to lead one.
Tillman was known as "Pitchfork Ben" because of his aggressive language, as when he threatened to use a pitchfork to prod that "bag of beef," President Grover Cleveland. Considered a possible candidate for the Democratic nomination for president in 1896, Tillman lost any chance after giving a disastrous speech at the convention. He became known for his virulent oratory—especially against black Americans—but also for his effectiveness as a legislator.
One of his legacies was South Carolina's 1895 constitution, which disenfranchised most of the black majority and many poor whites, and ensured white Democratic Party rule for more than six decades into the twentieth century.
But hey, it's nothing to be proud of. Only one of their most vocal posters on her goes by the namesake.

I'm with you. I get that it started out as a term that they wanted to flip the connotation on but now after 30 years of it in hip hop and mainstream culture, it's annoying.
