Clem's son on the verge of being what they have always been...a solid 66% winning program. Fans of Auburn with a lake fricked around and thought they were a real program when they lucked into 2 damn near generational QBs and that ain't happening again...now those fans are going to start grumbling and ole Dabo is gonna find the seat of his trousers are blistering hot...

Serious question. Is Dabo Swinney phoning it in at Clemson now that it's clear Saban is on his way out in the next couple years at Bama? Do doubt he wants to coach at his alma mater
At this point the ONLY reason Alabama would consider him as a replacement when Saban pulls the pin is so Dabo can be the sacrificial lamb that eases the fan base through the transition of the GOAT to the next GOAT. Dabo ain't getting a promotion based on coaching...he is in the same position Mark Richt was in...he has done enough to keep from getting run off thus far but ain't nobody coming calling to lure him away from Clemson either...Clemson will eventually convince him to quit or they will fire him and it is a season or so away...he is DONE at Clemson and ain't nobody interested in hiring him if their program has a pulse...

You sound like you must have enrolled in school down in College Station with that moral victory construction set.

he has stated many times he isnt leaving Clemson.
he is not going to Alabama. hes home.
He is not going anywhere that would be a lateral or a promotion...because he is not a good coach. He will live off his success at Clem's son, success based on 2 QBs and nothing else, but no program with title aspirations is interested in him any longer...he has proven what he is.

Thanks for your interest, Mrs. Dabo... but we have decided to go with another candidate located in Georgia.
Y'all really gonna offer Mullen the job??? Not a terrible hire probably. I am certain he would want to stay as close to his home on Lake Oconee as possible....

Stay happy bc Deshaun Watson and Trevor Lawrence aren’t walking through that door.
This is Clemson now
This is the height of success for Clemson traditionally. They have mostly been a rent a win team for good programs outside of the ACC for their entire history. Winning 70% or so of their games is what they do.

0% chance he ever coaches at Bama.

Dabo sounds like Houston Nutt with more talent.

Dabo is a Bama boy. That's a given and I'm sure he has many Tide fans. I, for one, don't care for his schtick.
That said, there is no way he'll be on anyone's short list for our head coaching job. It'll be someone of the Dan Lanning mold...

Dabo is about to be king of moral victories now that Clemson is Clemsoning again.

He needs to come to grips with it.

When Saban retires, Dabo will be waiting by the phone. First he’ll think he’s having service problems and call Cricket to complain. Then he’ll try to straighten out the antenna on his roof. When that doesn’t work, he’ll try to personally call Greg Byrne. ….
