It's probably less the 'driving fast' part and more the 'almost killing a dude' part, I'm guessing.

When it comes to the actions of players on the different teams we love, none of us live in a glass house. That being said, these instances need to be evaluated on there own, not lumped into past actions. I would imagine the Clemson player and his family is gonna get their balls sued off by the mail carrier.

This game is Clemson's season, of course he will play.

Dabo can suspend him the game the other 11 games against the nobodies they play.

What’s the difference in this and Fred Davis?
Do you want me breakdown the difference between possessing Marijuana and a gun vs near vehicular homicide?

Because I can, I guess

Yes I’m serious. Weed is a crime in SC whether you agree with it or not. Possession of weed and reckless driving both come with a max penalty of 30 days in jail and a $200 fine. Take it up with the DA’s office if you think Davis needs to be thrown under the jail.

If this was an SEC player and insert whatever head coach then the SEC fans wanting the Clemson player suspended would be supporting the "SEC" Player by saying this was a legal matter and not a football issue.

The kid screwed up. But our society wants to nuke everyone for messing up. When I was a teenager and early 20.s I did some stupid shite that I got away with and are thankful. I'm sure all of you choir boys are chaste and of pure thought.

put aside your idea of what law and order should look like in America and look at the statistics of how many people die in auto accidents vs pot. I understand pot is a "crime" but to suggest driving like an arse and smoking pot are equal crimes is silly

SEC coaches have suspended players for far less

Davis drove 100mph+ from Greenville to Clemson. About 30 miles. He is accused of causing SEVERAL accidents during his joyride, which ended only when he smashed into the mail carrier lady.

Dabo gonna Dabo.

What do you think should happen to the kid diddly? Kicked off the team permanently? Publicly shamed? Tar and feathered? Or do you only actually care because you play Clemson week 1? Btw, how is Arik Gilbert doing?

deemed 115 mph in a 55-mph zone on July 21. His car struck the mail carrier vehicle at 70 mph on U.S. Highway 123
Wait was the mail carrier going 70 or he was?

Either the mail carrier was speeding as well or he was going 15 over and hit another car
I am guessing the young fella was going 115ish (60mph over) and saw the mail truck, then hit the brakes hard. Was down to around 70ish when the impact occurred. That's how it reads to me at least. Not arguing for/against suspension...
