The lead off walk definitely cost us. But once that walk happens you put your guys in the best chance to get out of the inning. Bianco obviously felt he did what gave us the best chance, statistics and common sense would disagree with him

Actually it was 2 mistakes
1-walking the leadoff guy
2-and pitching to Papi
But pitching to Papi was plain stupid

I didn't like it, but that is Dan's philosophy. You don't do that in that in the 8th inning down 3 runs. Early in the game sure, but not late.
I was hoping to make some noise in Omaha. We just aren't at that level quite yet. Our program though is definitely in great hands. Going to be a bigger challenge now as we move to the ACC. Overall a great season when you can get to the CWS. Just wish we would make a little noise.
