I just want to commend all the Vandy fans and Vol fans whose team also has 3 losses not crying on this thread like these Texas little sisters.

It appears Pimphead is one of the few Texas fans with backbone and seeing his team in reality.

You also get a benefit for BEATING them. OU's CFP resume is currently being helped by their win vs. Michigan. Had Texas Beaten OSU, you'd likely be the top rated 2 loss team right now.

I have been around Texas fans my whole life. They all act like BigBro.

Make up narratives in their head playing the victim.

Another one I always laugh at is they have to think when they win it’s just bc they are Texas. They hate being told they get favoritism or getting a bad call that helped them win, like the non targeting call last year against Arizona State. It’s really important for them to believe they do everything fair and square. And everybody cheats, but not them.

And they really are going to lose their shite with A&M, OU, Tech and maybe even SMU making the playoff while they sit at home.

No I think the point is pathetic...... We almost lost to Kentucky & Mississippi State and lost to Florida. Complaining about anything and missing the CFP this year reeks of weak

Once again, you are missing the point. I’m not saying Texas should or should not be in the playoffs.

I’m making the point that if Oklahoma makes the playoffs, they are in over us because we scheduled and lost to Ohio State.

Likewise, if Michigan hadn’t scheduled Oklahoma, they’d likely be in, even with a loss to Ohio State.

These games will not be scheduled in the future, and that sucks. There shouldn’t be a penalty for playing those games.

The media was talking about a 9-3 Texas until you got whipped by UGA. Then the talk stopped.

UF’s strength of schedule has been high from before the beginning of the season though.

No they won't. When BAMA beats Aggie, and uga moves to two, IU moves to three when they lose to OhioSt, Oregon will be ranked #4 the third BigX team to get a bye in the 1st round.
zero chance Oregon is in the top 4 after the conf championship games

Honestly surprised OSU is in the top 50 percentile. Out of 136 teams

That’s one way of putting it, which I understand. But allow me to offer some alternative reasons why the Sooners might get in over Texas:

They’ve lost only two games, not three.
Their losses were both to ranked teams; your third loss was to one of the crappiest teams out there.
Both of you played a ranked Big10 team. They won theirs; you lost yours.

Losing a single game to a ranked team didn’t knock Oregon, Georgia, Ole Miss, or Texas Tech out of the top ten. Losing even two games to ranked teams hasn’t done that to OK or ND. But you’ve lost three games one of which was to Florida, a team whose only other wins are over MSU and the Long Island University Sharks. Not exactly an auspicious club for a team you insist should vault into the playoffs over better teams with better records.

Keep arguing your point if you want, but everyone else knows that you’ve lost more games and to a crappier team than any single team ranked above you.

OU scheduled Michigan, bama FSU, these are top teams that programs schedule 10 years ahead. Texas doesn’t get any extra credit.
I'll bet you were one of the gooners refusing to give us credit for beating the defending national champ Michigan in the big house last season..

Just sayin.

Do SOR. Playing a good team and getting your arse whipped proves nothing.

A&M risked it, but they won on the road. It is not our fault that Florida, SC, Missouri, LSU, and tu were all ranked above us early season and ended up be bad teams. All you can do is win the schedule you were given.

I like Lanning, but how many SEC schools played a cupcake yesterday and still have a higher SOS than Oregon?

All I heard yesterday was people talking shite about SEC cupcakes. Funny enough, a shitload of them were Notre Dame and Nebraska fans. The delusions are crazy. Auburn has more ranked opponents than those two combined.

Generally the more you lose, the better your strength of schedule gets because you've added a bunch of Ws in your opponents' columns. Conversely, the more you win, the more you hurt your own strength of schedule by added so many Ls for your opponents' records.

Orrly??

Then explain how Oklahoma, Bama, and UGA are in the top 11?
