If someone wants to say Ohio State, Alabama, Oklahoma and Notre Dame are the only bluebloods, I can't really argue as I think historically those teams have been a cut above in most categories.
Texas is better than Georgia and LSU, but Georgia and LSU are closer to Texas than Texas is to OU and Alabama in terms of overall accomplishments.

If you have a need to convince someone your program is a blue blood.... then you're not a blue blood.

Bryce has:
2 SEC champs
A National Champ
Sugar Bowl Victory
Heisman
So no. You are wrong.

I agree.
But I wouldn't bet against Texas eventually finding their way "back".
I think they are more likely than OU to win another natty.
The real question I have, though, is WTF happened to Nebraska.

Is UGA the new Clemson? —we’ll see
I’ve used the Clemson comparison a lot. UGA after the loss to Bama is in a similar position that Clemson was in after they lost to LSU in 2019. But Clemson fell off because Dabo’s gimmicky schtick (“lil ole Clempson”) stopped working and he’s a fricking weirdo no one listens to anymore. Kirby won’t have that problem, but parity in the SEC and doing away with East/West could make things weird for them. Other than recently, East has been shite most years. To UGA’s credit, unlike Clemson fans, I haven’t heard a ton of them seriously call themselves a blue blood. A future dynasty maybe, but not a blue blood. Clemson fans on the other hand were claiming blue blood status until LSU railed them.
Georgia and LSU are the main borderline teams at this point, but I’m positive that no UGA fan or LSU fan lies awake at night waiting for the day that they are considered a blue blood. UGA has 2 championships in 3 years. I think they’re good with that, as Nebraska, Texas, Notre Dame and Penn State are blue bloods and have been worthless for decades (Notre Dame is always “good” but you can’t really tell because they’re independent, and Texas has been good for about 5 minutes, and had one natty in 2005, whoop dee doo). USC is approaching that category.
I don’t think LSU or UGA fans care about being blue bloods, ever. And this is just a hypothetical, but if Bama were stripped of their blue blood status tomorrow, I don’t think they’d give a damn. We’re all good with just trying to compete for championships. Nebraska and Penn State can have the blue blood moniker.

The only real blue bloods in the United States were the Fugates of Kentucky.
Smurfs
In the image below is John Stacy, a well known blue lover, who once stated "that blue pussy, it's undefeated".

The Blue Fugates were a family from Eastern Kentucky, notably recognized for their blue skin, a genetic condition passed down over generations.
The origin of the blue skin trait traces back to a French orphan named Martin Fugate, who settled in Eastern Kentucky in 1820. Many of his descendants had blue skin due to genetic mutations from intermarriage among isolated Appalachian families.
Dr. Madison Cawein, in the 1960s, identified the cause of the blue skin as methemoglobinemia, resulting from an enzyme deficiency. He used Methylene Blue to treat and revert the blue skin to a normal tone.

Nebraska is in a terrible recruiting region. They needed to recruit nationally. Osborne left and his replacement wasn't good enough to keep it going. Their offensive style also became incapable of winning it all in modern football.

Nebraska did the Jim Jones Kool-Aide trick to itself leaving the Big-12 and it's recruiting grounds to the south thinking they would be able to recruit in old Big-10 regions we've seen how that's worked out.

People caught up with them in the S&C area.

UGA has 8 National titles if we use the same criteria that UT ises to claim titles. UT actually has only 2 consensus titles awarded by the major wire services of the era. You retards claim 1950 with only 1 nobody wire service called Dunkel awarding it. UGA has 4 consensus and 4 other awards by a grouping of minor wire services.
So, UGA is actually #2 in the SEC using the UT method of claiming a NC for any season where one or a few minor polls or wire services recognized them as the NC.
UT has 16 conference championships when adding their 13 SEC titles and the 3 they won pre 1920 in the Southern Conference. UGA also has 16 conference championships while having one more SEC title than UT. The other 2 were also pre 1920 Southern Conference. They are actually tied for #2 with UT being #2B because of having one less SEC title.
Just correcting your omissions and attempt to glitz up the UT resume. UGA is above UT both now and since the beginning of college football.

Nebraska's first powerhouse run that occurred during the Bob Devaney era was done pretty much exclusively with midwestern and plains state players with a few guys from "back east" and Cali.
Nebraska's 1971 champion team had one Texan on it. Ironically, it was Joe Jamail's son (the guy who the U Texas field was named after for a period of time)...
I don't know if they thought they could reproduce that period... but it didn't work out very well.
However, some Husker fans think it was just a run of lousy coaches.

From my seat, it looked more like Nebraska ran out of Tom Osborne. There were several coaches after him that had 10-win seasons, but they were fired anyway. I guess they were getting measured by Osborn's crazy level of success. I think Nebraska's downfall was a series of foolish mistakes that included going to the B1G.

Texas and OU haven’t played a season of SEC football.

Check out this map of Highschools in Texas. Then look at that Dallas metro and just north of it.
Norman is just 2 hours away from it. As you know that North TX corridor is exploding in growth. 14 of the 16 football state champions came from that area. Going to be the richest recruiting area for the next 25 years. OU is the closest SEC school.

It’s true son! I’ll post the facts so you don’t have to try and look it up.
Also the Vols are 1st in the SEC and #5 in the country for the MOST COLLEGE FOOTBALL HALL IF FAMERS.

In fairness to LSU...if Georgia deserves it, then LSU would, too. It's uncanny how close the accomplishments are between the two colleges, football wise.
