Honestly with play right now you could debate Mallet and Crompton are playing the best in SEC.
While neither is on a great team they are not the reason their team is losing.
I do find it funny people are finding singular games where Crompton sucked and using that as reasoning as why he can not be considered best. Hell even NFL stars have a bad game here and there. Crompton had a bad stretch but as hot as he is I would take him on LSU. He looks very much improved from earlier in season.

i can agree with this. I think they're playing better than Tebow right now but I still think Tebow is the best QB in the conference. Tebow's not getting any help from his OL and receivers though lately.

Give me a QB that doesn't lose games by himself and is enough of a playmaker to win tough games and I'm happy.

So we aren't going to compare full seasons, just "right now". Well, over the last two games Mallett is 37 of 43 for 577 yards. Crompton is 33 of 51 for 473 yards over his last two games. Notably, both teams played South Carolina in this period. Crompton was 12 of 24 and Mallett was 23 of 27 against them. Crompton threw for a lot of TDs, Arkansas relies on the power running game to get most of its TDs when in the red zone and Tennessee throws for them.
Is Crompton playing better? Oh yea, MUCH better. If this was his sophomore year I would say he has a very bright future, but it isn't.

A-fricking-gain, all QBs play against creampuffs, especially in the SEC. He's played agaisnt less creampuffs than OM and UF for sure.
