A couple of points. LSU basketball is on their 4th coach since their last final four. Will Wade’s best NCAA finish was the sweet 16. LSU has had Bob Pettit, Shaquille Oneil, Pete Maravich, and Chris Jackson. They won, checks notes, zero championships with some of the best college players of all time.
Do you remember Ben Simmons? NBA overall #1 pick in 2016. Surely he led LSU to…oh… nothing. Not even the NIT.
