re: Cowbells are the most annoying noise device in the SEC. How are they allowed?

You can always tell when State gets a decent squad. Pussy fans and coaches from opposing teams start bitching about cowbells.

There was a sideline segment done on how much the cowbells affect the snap. State fans can keep telling this bold faced lie if they want, but none of us actually believe you.
It's not a lie, no matter how much you keep melting over it. Visit a game and see for yourself. And don't say you have...because if you have, you wouldn't be spouting this bullshite.

And the bells stopped ringing. Your own example proves MSU's point

Knew a melt comment was coming sooner or later.

I was there in 2007. The bells were ringing the entire game. You can also hear it on TV. You still ring the bells until the ball is snapped.
I'm sorry this bothers you so much.

I really am sorry MSU fans need cowbells to make as much noise as other fan bases. It must suck to listen to that shite 7 or 8 times a year.

Not as bad as making an asinine statement and not being able to back it up, like you've been doing.
Keep flaming. Somebody will care.

Being that almost every stadium in the sec is bigger then miss st's stadium I say we bring cowbells everytime they are the visiting team.

2007 was before the rule was put in place to control when fans ring.
It doesn't really bother me. I'm just trying to help you. You're embarrassing yourself.

Only thing embarrassing in this situation is State fans needing cowbells to keep up with the rest of us.

37-7 still stings, doesn't it, precious?

Kyle is plenty loud when good defense is being played. But I do think it would be a hoot if every school decided to take vuvuzelas to Starkville.
At the UK game in Starkville last month I heard one vuvuzela from the UK section. They did not blow responsibly.

Alright, I'm going to try and explain.
I'm sure that you feel justified in your views on the cowbell. But we MSU fans see and hear these same old tired cowbell posts every year. Look back - cowbells don't make any difference in the games. The better team , that game, wins.
But every year its' "muh team coulda, shoulda, woulda, done better if not for those damned bells"

And every year some poor, virtuous fan who was minding their own business gets physically assaulted with a cowbell. 99% of the time its a rebear and 99% of the time they intimidate the MSU fan into tucking their cowbell between their legs and running away. The interwebs are full of such stories. Kinda like LSU piss balloons and Georgia spitters

The only documented cowbell incident was Maroon on Maroon violence a few Egg Bowls ago.

I mean frick the cowbell bs but they aren't going anywhere. Just another piece of Stark charm. I saw a cowbell split a tiger fans forehead at a game in 2005. That guy did not look happy.

I hate them in person. It makes the trip to Starkville awful even when you win.
I went to school there for a year, and I agree entirely. I presume everyone in Starkville must lose a good portion of their hearing, because all it made me think is that my ears were about to start bleeding.

Bama fans sing Rammer Jammer
Not the same.
If Alabama carried massive speakers down to the field and started blasting Rammer Jammer Dubstep Remix at full volume during the game, THEN you might get an equivalent.

We don't ring them because they are loud, we ring them because its a tradition dating back many decades. Its fun that they are loud, but the noise on the field is actually louder when the fans put down the bells and yell.

You need to coin that term or I am.

Cowbell vets know that the real danger comes from the clapper flying out and turning into a missile.

Depending on the size of the bell, that thing could total a small car

Cdawg Have at it
Fun fact: This is how David slayed Goliath. There wasn't a word for "Cowbell" back then so they just called it a sling.
