He seems to be doing well, but I doubt it.

IMO No!

ETA: His resume would not be proven enough yet. AU,Arky, and UT need to hire a home run coach. The reason AU,Arky, and UT are in the situation they're in now is "because they didn't hire a home run coach to begin with".

You are the first person that has even said they wanted him. I never saw mention of him on Tennessee boards. They never spoke of the situation you are referring to.

I've never seen where any team has named him as a candidate except Ms. State.

Exactly. So Tennessee's "go to guy" that they wanted was a coach that went 5-7 with wins over Jackson State, Vandy, Ole Miss, Mid Tenn State, and Kentucky? Please.

He was a candidate listed on Florida's board a couple years ago. Wasn't interviewed, but his name was listed as a possible candidate.

Was he or did his agent float his name out there?

Nutt was "listed as a possible candidate" for the LSU, Bama, Auburn, and Miami jobs and we all know that wasn't true.

I remember seeing his name on the Florida's Rival site...they had the coaching board up there with discussion. Nobody was really discussing Mullen. His info was up. He was toward the bottom of the list if I remember correctly.

Some Auburn people are saying the conversations have already started.

For my part, Freese has certainly crossed my mind. Auburn's done it before. I dunno if there's some Slive rule or not....

There isn't, just one Ms. State fan's way of explaining to himself why no one else in the SEC wants Mullens.
