He leads Ole Miss to a bowl game this year???

No denying that he is doing a great job in Oxford, and of the above name mentioned schools could they give Freeze a call if they missed on some of their top targets.

Maybe Tennessee.

Arkansas has Butch Davis to fall back on before the coaching search ever went bad enough to get to the point of calling Freeze.

What appeal does Butch Davis bring?

I think Dykes and Freeze are BOTH better head coaches.

Freeze is at his dream job. I don't think he'll ever leave.

No bundy, neither have the accolades Butch has acquired over his career.

As far as appeal, he has a house in Springdale, his father is lives there, he is an alum, he is well liked by a couple big money boosters. He is a great fall back option.

Agreed, but he is now 61 has been in trouble with the NCAA, and is years removed from his Miami days.

If I was an Ark fan I'd rather have someone who is an up and comer.

Charlie Strong would be way ahead of butch Davis to me.

Freeze would take 180k but in a league of 4mil a year it would have looked bad

Butch was cleared of all wrong doing by the NCAA.

Auburn nor Arkansas would ever hire him.
Aubs bc of the Cam deal, Ark bc he doesn't fit what they are looking for.

Tennessee might give him a look.

Never said Butch was the #1 choice. He would be a stop gap in a bad coaching search before the unknown and over rated like the Mississippi coaches are considered.

This isn't a Broyle's/White coaching search...
