idk if some really know how much legal work would be involved with stuff like this even if it is for one season the sec would have to have the rights to broadcast any game featuring Nebraska on the SEC network. and they would need permission from the big ten to do that

short point it would be a legal headache that i doubt the SEC or any conference still planning on playing wants to go thru a month before kickoff

A good Nebraska could make the Big 12 with $10 mil a year more. The Big 12 would have to give them a hell of a deal to come back.

Coug high does nothing for the big 12. If anyone is added other than Nebraska, it would be BYU, Cincinnati, or Memphis.

Much more money being in big ten than being in big 12. Will not happen. Besides, they left the big 12 because of their hate for Texas. Don't forget it is Texas' conference, other people are allowed to participate if Texas approves.

The rift is the same as it was when Nebraska released the statement, nothing has moved forward.

Desmond Howards word on the subject doesn't change a damn thing lol

I doubt the contract is public record (although it might be). I doubt Big 10 bylaws are either.

But I think it was reported when the big conference shakeups happened that one of the keys was schools had to sign away their tier 3 rights to the various conferences/conference networks.

So even if Nebraska left, BIG would still own their tier 3 rights and be able to broadcast baseball, softball, etc. and yet not have to share the revenue with NU that the content generated.
The consideration for Nebraska selling their TV rights was a share of the TV contracts. If there are no games due to the Big 10 deciding not to play, there will be no TV revenue and a resulting failure of consideration which would excuse performance by Nebraska. At least that would be the argument.

I don’t know why the Big 12 hasn’t invited UCF yet, big school in an even bigger state.

To me, UCF is not a good fit for the Big 12 similar to WVU. I know WVU needed at P5 conference but what a bad fit IMO

Nah.
Getting on a plane is getting on a plane.
Flying from Nebraska to Pennsylvania is no different than flying from NE to Fort Worth, Arizona, or Virginia.

I could see Nebraska moving back to the Big 12, under the right circumstances (and those are actually happening right now).

Big 12=
needs to add a relevant school or so. Doesn't HAVE to be a current Top 10 school, it needs to be someone solid and established. Nebraska is that.
Geographic fit is a plus, especially for other sports. Obviously, Nebraska fits that.
Competitive balance; you don't want to bring in a weakling that does nothing overall for your conference. And although Nebraska floundered in the Big 10 (breaking that condition, in that case), they match up very well against the Big 12 teams, as shown by their records against everyone involved.

Nebraska=
wants respect and prominence. They left originally since they were pissed about Texas, but they walked into a situation where they may have got more money, but lost influence. They're now an afterthought, not a featured member. They probably could upgrade their standing if they returned to the Big 12.

Money- everyone talks about this, like it's in a vacuum. Big 10 makes more than Big 12.
Great, but if the Big 10 sits this season out and the Big 12 plays, and the world doesn't collapse, then TV money probably gets re-negotiated, and we could see some shifts.

Leaving Big 10 money for Big 12 money would be really stupid.

Like WVU, going to Texas every other weekend , rough for fans, no natural rivalries and very costly for All sports

The SEC has 14. We don't need 15, and would then have to go to 16. It really makes no sense for the SEC.

Nebraska and Iowa to the Big 12...

We (Texas A&M) don’t have a conference game where we don’t fly.

Geography matters. So does culture.

People bitch about Missouri and they want Nebraska?

Doesn't make sense.

True but it’s the SEC and AM wanted out of the big 12 and have more money, and aRe a cultural( except for cheerleaders ) fit . UCF and WVU are not in a similar position as AM. AM has natural rivalries with Arky and LSU also . Every game is not a cross country flight either . Geography does play a part most of the time
