I really believe Bama has a nontraceable method of incentives that help players stay. Whether it be offshore accounts, swiss banks accounts.

Do you understand how dumb that sounds?

It's funny how alot of SEC coaches have guys leave early pretty regularly, but Bama is loaded and rarely has several go early.

Players that have left early:

2008 - Andre Smith
2009 - Rolando McClain and Kareem Jackson
2010 - Julio Jones, Marcell Dareus, and Mark Ingram
2011 - Dre Kirkpatrick and Trent Richardson
2012 - Eddie Lacy and D.J. Fluker likely to go

Yeah, players never leave Alabama early.

Barkley should have left bc he was guaranteed first round money so no shite. Not all 9 players from LSU leaving early will be first round picks. That's the only point that's trying to be made here (same goes for Barrett jones too)

August 27, 2012 - SCHOLARSHIP SENIORS: Alabama enters the season tied for fourth in the nation with the fewest number of scholarship seniors as the Crimson Tide features nine heading into the 2012 campaign. The Crimson Tide was one of four teams in the No. 1 spot until long snapper Carson Tinker was awarded a scholarship by head coach Nick Saban on August 20. LINK

And some just graduated. Guess they wanted their degrees.

Dec. 14, 2012 TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - More than 30 University of Alabama student-athletes are slated to receive their degrees Saturday when UA holds its winter commencement at Coleman Coliseum.

There will be 11 winter graduates on hand when the Crimson Tide football team competes in the BCS National Championship Game Monday, January 7, against Notre Dame in Miami. The list includes: Kenny Bell, Christopher Bonds, Quinton Dial, All-American D.J. Fluker, All-American Barrett Jones, Kevin Norwood, All-American Chance Warmack, Ranzell Watkins, All-Southeastern Conference Jesse Williams, Kellen Williams and Nicholas Williams. It's not talent that makes Bama so much better. It's discipline and doing what they've been taught.

So it's not a surprise that they have the same amount leave early as other teams on average. Talent is everywhere (especially in this conference). Discipline is not.

Not when you are talking a Top 5 team, and in Bama's case, 2 straight championships???! You would think with all that talent several Jr's would leave...

You are right Tiger79. I too have been scratching my head trying to figure out how Saban got Dre Kirkpatrick, Trent Richardson, Marcel Dareus, Donta Hightower, Julio Jones, Mark Ingram, Kareem Jackson, Andre Smith, Rolando McLain, and Glenn Coffee to stay for their senior years.

Oh, wait all 10 of those left early and 9 were drafted in the first round.

Until this season has LSU lot 10 JRsfrom 2008-2012? I don't think so. Why? Must be because of the LSU secret bank account system that convinced Russell Sheppard to return.

What high profile JRs are you talking about who Bama has stay?

Mark Barron is the only 1st round example I can think of and he had a 2nd round grade before a fantastic SR year. Must be because of his Swiss bank account.
