This is why A&M is so delusional
They actually over reacted when the jumped into the SEC because it wasn't well thought out. The reason I feel like this is because at this time what university has the power to shape the future of college athletics. A&M is not stupid but if they actually thought out their next move they would have seen the consequences of putting UT into this position
Right now there are 4 conferences and these conferences all need and want Texas. Some more than others as I have written about on this topic but nevertheless UT is the prettiest, smartest and best bred woman in town with a bunch of suitors.
As UT will do they will play each conference against each other and get the best deal possible for them upon the move.

FIFY
You never do business with a bad business partner.
A conference inviting them would be like letting Jerry Sandusky look after your 10 year old son or like letting Art Briles supervise prom.

Why do you keep circling the issue back to Texas A&M?
Despite your obvious hang-ups, this isn't about former rivalry squabbles.

Actually bad business would be the ones who jumped too early instead of waiting it out like other universities
Now A&M is stuck in their seat with the ride still going and the winners and losers not determined but what is determined is that you can't change where you are at now and the University actually controlling the ride is UT
Like what Reggie Jackson said about himself the University of Texas is the straw who stirs the stink

This is how we know you are stupid. How the frick can you explain how A&M going to SEC is bad for us? You honestly think that staying in the XII would have been better for us?

Pretty much every single Aggie disagrees with you. Seems to working out just fine for them. UT seems to be struggling to find its place.

Need and want are two separate things. It would be nice to have Texas in the SEC but the SEC doesn't need Texas.

lester, Texas A&M to the SEC has been in the works for decades.
And there's no place else we'd rather be.

And it was the best decision that Texas A&M has ever made.

That's the only thing you've posted that is accurate.
With all the shite they eat on a regular basis, they have to stir the stink first.

Mississippi State is running the SEC right now. A former bulldog is running the most financially sound program right now (Florida)... and Greg Sankey (quasi bulldog) is SEC commissioner. They think texas and all of the big 12 sucks. I know because we bulldogs all think alike... so what i say carries more weight than a bunch of carnie smellin LSU admins and Ole Miss crook admins say. OM will be lucky to stay in the SEC after this investigation is done... besides they are trying to drag others through the mud as well with a bunch of BS.

Looks to me like you have lost your mind.
The train left the station a long time ago, and Texas didn't get on. They will not be asked again to join the SEC.
Texas is a cancer in the world of sports.

Two problems here
1) Corso
2) Texas.....you do not want those guys coming in fricking things up.....and they do frick things up....plus theywould get money from the SEC and its television contract AND the Longhorn Network....please do not think they will give that up

Texas can't frick anything up in the SEC. The SEC collectively has too much power for them to frick anything up. They were able to control the SWC and the Big 12 because they were those schools needed them more than anything. The ones that didn't left. CU, Aggy and NU all were strong enough to leave, but the rest can't, other than KU and OU. So the other schools just went along with Texas out of fear, but the schools with a brand didn't have to because they could find homes. So if Texas came to the SEC Florida, Georgia, Alabama, LSU and Tennessee would all just laugh at any outrageous request. They can't strong arm the SEC because the SEC has too much power of their own.

It's not really one school vs anybody in the sec. sure Texas and OU have controlled the big 12 but only because of the mentality and structure the big 12 has. The sec is a collective conference and each school has equal say. That's vastly different than the way the big 12 has been ran. Texas or OU would be positive additions to the sec any way you look at it.
