Considering Golf, tennis, and hockey for my children

Basketball and football has become too political and I want something the kids can enjoy for their entire life. Music, golf, and tennis is something they can rely on for the rest of their lives.
I played baseball for 12 years and football for 10 years and dont play anymore.
If they want to play, I wont keep them from it but those with children what is your philosophy behind sports?

Golf.
My son starts football next month, he's 10. He has played baseball and has been to a few basketball camps/programs. He also has a set of golf clubs.
My daughter was supposed to start tball this year, but it got canceled.

Hockey has its own set of issues but overall a great experience. Canada is struggling with youth leagues as practice ice is insanely hard to get as girls have really picked up the sport putting further demand on limited resources for practice and tournaments. It's expensive.
Golf I am afraid is dying. Courses closed everywhere.
Soccer may be your best bet.
Tennis has slipped in the US but a great sport.

Hockey is up there. Hell, fights are expected in hockey. Rather than panic about them, they just use a time out box and move on.

Leto, I've run through walls and racked my brain. I enjoyed hurting people. I just wished I had spent more time reading than try to hurt people. Long term is important.

Is "I may have thousands of posts on a college football message board but this time I'm totally done with football and basketball" going to be the theme of the off-season around here?

Let them play whatever sports they want
I would certainly include golf though
Golf is something you can enjoy with your kids for decades to come.
At some point you cant play tackle football with your kids.

All you need to do is dig a few holes in a hay field and you’ve got a golf course. The kind the game was meant to be played on before they prettied them up for tv and girlie men.
