LSU is about to go 2010-2019 without a national title.

Party like it’s the 80s!!

Post season doesn't mean shite, if you don't win it all.

Being a good TD poster isn’t at the top of my priority list

In that thread, did they suggest pulling Liberty into the SEC? They made the post season in baseball and basketball.

If a meaningless bowl game is the postseason then so is the NIT.

Great post.

LSU, Miss State, and Auburn. Big brothers.

Little bro, you’ll get there... one day.

How is making a non-playoff bowl different than the NIT?

Fair question; you're talking postseason with an actual chance to win the national title. Obviously only the playoff teams get that.

The rebuttal is- prestige and rankings. Clearly LSU in the Fiesta, and Georgia in the Sugar, those at least are far superior than just an NIT bid; and you could argue that they are above just a standard at-large bid to the NCAA basketball tourney too. We're talking Top 10 finish on the line, something you don't get just by making the basketball or baseball field.

Bitch all you want about 'participation trophies', but there's over a hundred D1 football teams, and you can't squeeze everyone into an honest competition. UCF in 2017 is proof of that; they went undefeated and beat the SEC West champ in a bowl. Argue about schedule strength if you like, but they beat the teams they played 100% of the time, and nobody else did that.

Exactly what is "post season" in football?
The extra game, that's called a bowl, that players like your Leonard Fournette skip?
If you don't count the NIT, you can't count the Poulan weedeater Bowl.

IMO, the only "post season" in football is the CFP.

Auburn and MSU are the only SEC schools to make all of these postseasons:

FBS Bowl Game
Men's NCAA Basketball Tournament
Women's NCAA Basketball Tournament
Softball NCAA Tournament
Baseball NCAA Tournament
