He makes y’all look the way you are. And he might be right. One of these days tu is actually going to pull a coach. But 99% of the time y’all’s weird egos and entitlement will just keep you the way you are. Classic underachieving dorks. Austin was a cool city in 1996 and maybe Schloss wants to move there. You never know.

Y’all aren’t considering how hard it will be for A&M to compete after Texas joins the conference. A&M’s advantage is now over and they did nothing with it.

ok that made me laugh.

Kiffen
Norvell
Lanning

who did I leave out. I'm no hypocrite, however. We always through out ridiculous names as well.

It's the nature of the beast.

First reachout was to Lanning who quickly said no. DeBoer was talked to as well. Both parties had interest but Washington was in playoffs and both parties agreed timing was bad because A&M wanted a guy quick.

I never got a good feel for how much talk happened with Day.

Never really heard anything about Kiffen or Norvell in the process other than internet trolls thinking it would be funny to steal the Seminoles coach again.

Then we had the entire Stoops fiasco thing.

A&M was very lucky that Elko had previously been in College Station and wanted the job because most others would have laughed if they had been put on a back burner and watching a fan revolt live against a guy the AD decided was the right guy in a vacuum.

Personally, I wanted Elko but not when it happened. I was hoping he would get another year or two at Duke before we got rid of Jimbo. But after watching Duke last season, I knew it was now or never and I suspected Jimbo would do enough to hang around and Elko would go somewhere else.

BigBro has me convinced from yesterday that if any coach is looking for a move, it's Sully. I would love that hire.

He signed a 10 year 18 M dollar deal last offseason. He's second to only Corbin in pay. Yall aren't getting him either.

I realize you're just some stupid arse alter bitch but I'll respond. I'll hate myself for it but I'll respond. Every time a big position opens names get floated around...mostly by agents trying to get raises for their clients. Texas giving schloss a call has nothing to do with a game in College Station. It's because the guy is an incredible coach and has a history with CDC. (but he's not leaving ags). Do you remember some of the ridiculous names you guys were floating when jimbo left? Pot meet kettle.

Whew, struck a nerve.

Calm yer tits, dude(?).

I'm too lazy to mess with alters, but feel free to type more words that you somehow think is new information. I'm sure Schloss is getting a nice raise regardless of whoever is contacting him, and I do have a small amount of concern about him wanting to get away from Ags that care more about him changing their precious baseball traditions at Olsen than actually winning. Some people can't get out of their own way unfortunately.

Perhaps if you don't make an idiotic statement like Texas would hire based on a loss to the ags. It's fricking ridiculous. We are firing pierce because he's simply average and we have to do better than him if we want to compete in the SEC.

What could go wrong? I have no idea if BigBro knows what he’s talking about or not….but personally, I think he’s just yanking Aggie’s chain. Pretty sure that Aggie is feeling good about the series (as I would be), but I’d be nervous not knowing, for a fact, if Schloss is considering the move, I’m prejudice, but that would be good for Texas.,,but realistically, just don’t see it happening. Schloss is a very good coach…regardless.

I assure you that BigBro doesn't know shite.. in case there was any doubt.. but I will speculate all day long.. my money is currently on Sully..

The original post may know something about Schloss however..

You can't honestly believe that Schloss would be making a deal with Texas on the verge of his first championship series as a head coach?

I also don't know shite...but even I can see the idiocy in that take.

In my crazy little brain.. I have figured out why he might leave.. but like you, I am not currently buying that it will happen..

So what is the crazy scenario in my head?

When the A&M AD job came open, Schloss was on the search committee. He pushed for A&M to hire CDC and they said no for whatever reason. He also may not like working for his new boss, Trev Alberts.. who was just hired a few months ago..

Therefore, when CDC reached out to Schloss and/or his agent after Texas lost to UT Rio fricking Grande fricking Valley a couple of months ago.. Schloss said he was interested.. and the deal was all but signed and delivered.. long before A&M was making a run at the championship..

Ultimately, Schloss may be open to the idea if he isn't happy in College Station. It is possible. This won't be about money.. or facilities.. this is about a man, who can coach wherever he wants, deciding where he wants to spend the next 10-20 years of his life before he retires.. maybe that is College Station.. maybe it is Austin.. maybe it is someplace else.. but it is possible that isn't College Station.. and maybe, just maybe, he really likes working for CDC..

Texas just had a football season better than anything A&M has accomplished in over 80 years (despite them paying over $125 million to their football coach over the past 6 years).

A&M is also trying to reach the CWS finals for the first time, despite Texas having gone a dozen times before.

...and Texas is the school that's underachieving?

Good point about Trev. He does come across as a dick at times...but I just don't buy it. I'm done arguing with folks about it. If it happens I'll leave as promised. If it doesn't I'll enjoy a bopper free year.

Bopper isn't an alter imo.. He does like to twist the knife at times.. or a lot.. but that is why this board exists.. but I don't see a bunch of crazy predictions in his posts.. and when he has talked about rumors, they seem to hit.. food for thought..

The last time Texas won anything of relevance was 2005. That was 20 years ago. No one is scared of Texas. Soft arse school and fanbase.
Texas skull f*cked Alabama and Nick Saban in Tuscaloosa, running the ball down their throat 12 straight times, including the three mercy knee's to end the game.

Nobody in the SEC ever did that to Saban and Alabama.

That's pretty damn relevant.
