As I stated weeks ago when this beautiful thread took life, the Chronicle is reporting that Schloss’s deal with Texas will be for approx $2.5M a year for seven years (plus perks).
Details of New Texas Coach’s Contract Revealed
The best part about this contract is how obvious it is now that it was as simple as wanting out of College Station. Aggies offered well over $3M to stay and he still bailed. They screamed hysterically when the news broke (check the receipts on this thread) about the sips “buying” their coach.
For those who haven’t seen it yet, I highly recommend giving this thread a review to see the aggy hivemind at work. It’s amazing.

Crazy to think that’s the best deal he could negotiate given that he gave Texas a dream scenario. Even taking a reduced salary the first two years to pay his buyout.
Texas is a top level job in the world of college baseball. The fanbase is already inpatient. He’ll need to win quickly.
