I don't think aggies knew he was leaving for a month, but I do think Texas knew he was leaving for them since April/May.

They took him from TCU not a SEC team.
Would be like Kentucky stealing Kirby Smart from Ga.

They are showing their true colors before they even play a single SEC game.
Say what you want about aTm but they have been a great addition to our conference since joining.
Texas won’t be and will be bringing all that drama over here with them.

Do you remember when everyone here thought Kentucky was going to hire Nate Oats from Alabama? Not one single person said it was wrong for Kentucky to hire him because he already coached an SEC team. No, everyone but Alabama fans celebrated and reveled in it: Apparently it wasn’t wrong then. So why is it wrong now?
And officially, Texas isn’t a member of the SEC for another week.
It is a dog eat dog world, and the money involved now makes it even more cutthroat.

There were rumors back in May that he was going from Texas sources, but they never got any legs.
The part that is just slimy is the timing and not the fact that he is going. The firing of Pierce on the day of the game 3 deciding game.
It appears the only part of the plan that went wrong was word got out and the question was asked in the post game interview.
I guess I can be thankful Texas did not wait a few days so Schloss did not have time to pre-wrap his departing transfer gifts to Austin. The sudden shock may not stop players from transferring, but it might convince a few that Austin is not for them. Montgomery's mother in particular seemed to be a bit salty today, as was Targac.

Sometimes, you just get what you ask for. Any head coach can come and go as they please, even to a rival. Now his integrity is being questioned and he doesn't like it. He might as well get used to it, that was a bad look when all he had to do was say no comment and make the call. Being politically correct in your comments is an art. He really should learn it.
