Honestly I'm not worried about Bama's offense. I think it will be pretty low-scoring either way.

Bama probably wins...but unless we suck a lot worse than we've shown, or Bama is a lot better than any of us think, it's going to be a close game. Ole Miss is going to have a lot of emotion and a defense that no one seems to realize how good they are. The front seven is going to keep Bama's running game in check (unless you draw us to death, which I doubt I see). McElroy will be under pressure all game, maybe as much as Snead will be.

We'll have to win this one like we did against Florida last year. Bare minimum on mistakes (which seems unlikely watching us so far), catch some breaks, and you know channel that emotion.

My prediction without really looking into it:

Alabama 18
Ole Miss 13

And when your guys are tired of chasing him around, we'll throw out TR, Upchurch, Grant...

You folks predicting a Bama blowout are crazy. It will be a tough game. OM has a very good defense.

Bama 17
OM 14

Ole Miss wins and maybe wins big, Nutt coached teams are always dangerous in games like this. Alabama still wins the West though.

Houston Nutt and Ole Miss can play the underdog.
Nobody expects us to compete, so we will.

I think it will be low scoring 10-9 , 12-14 , lots of field goals.

I think OM wins this

All BS aside, I think Ole Miss has a real shot. This is when that idiot savant of a head coach they hired does his best work.

alabama's running game isn't all that great. OM should be able to hold that in check.....get some pressure on McElroy and we'll see how he looks.

Buma hasn't played anybody worth a flip yet, so you all may surprise them, rebs.....good luck.

People who are thinking 40+ points for Bama have lost their fricking mind. Yes they will likely beat us, but Snead played much better this week than he has all season (despite the 3 interceptions, the last of which was more McCluster's than Snead's fault), but we have one huge fricking flaw: The O-Line. But that also is Bama's weakest point as well. If the O-Line can get its shite together and stand up to Bama's D-line then it will be a hell of a game. Those of you who are saying Bama will beat us by 40+ points have completely forgotten about our Defensive line. I think its likely that neither team will score over 20 points.

Actually now that I think about it, I want all the Bama fans to be cocky as all frick, the spread to be 20+ points, and have 95% of the nation betting against us. This can only be a good thing which will ensure that we play a close game.

I think Ole Miss will play us close and may even have the lead at halftime, but I see us pulling away in the second half.

Sadly this.

I'm saying pretty much the same thing with 17-13.

No one pulls away from us in the second half.

You'd have to go back to LSU 2007 to see a game that we've lost by more than 7 points.

I don't think they'll pull away handily, I just think they will score more points than us in the second half, which will ensure their victory.

My, my, the mouth on this one.....I didn't know this was a thread about Auburn. I mean, I understand that we are on your minds a lot lately, but I was under the impression this was about Ole Miss playing an untested Alabama team?

Maybe, but my level of intelligence has no bearing on the fact that your running game isn't quite up to the level of the '08 team.....

Based on what we have seen so far, I would say that your weakness is along the offensive line and somebody could exploit that. The question is whether you have a schedule with a decent defense on it.

I could see Ole Miss and LSU giving you trouble but probably not anybody else in the regular season.
