A&M will buyout Jimbo and turn around and sign another coach to a huge contract. But, I believe they will get the next hire right.

A&M has put 6 defensive linemen into the NFL in the last 4 draft classes. All 4th round or better.

I don't think anybody is doubting the talent and the potential. I personally, watching from afar, am in the "it's not the coaching either" camp. There is something else more nefarious going on that's just handicapping success in football, and looks to be ingrained. Just not sure what that is.

Raising money for stadium upgrades is much different than paying someone 80-90 million to not coach…that is pissing money away

Why do you upgrade stadiums?

To sell recruits. To woo donors. And to sell tickets.

If your coach is losing recruits, pissing off donors, and not selling tickets.... then buying out the contract is EXACTLY the same thing as a stadium upgrade.

We raised $500 million for stadium renovations in 2 years not even a decade ago. We just raised another $120 million for other football facility upgrades.
those are physical investments with guaranteed payoffs. A 80m buyout is trash money, and Then to hire another coach that you don't know if he'll work out.

The money is there if it needs to be. Could be done by the end of this season.

But it won’t be and it won’t make a difference either because anyone you get, you’re still going to look like this. The problem is your big money guys all think of themselves as football coaches and want to control your coaches. Just like your big brother Texas. Too much ego in your main money guys.

You're not paying Jimbo his entire buyout. Aggies are even delusional about their money, and its all they have.

The problem with A&M is rooted in the very thing their fans brag about....the amount of money they get from donors.

With that, the donors have too much input into the program.

Think what you want. We raised $500 million for stadium renovations in 2 years not even a decade ago. We just raised another $120 million for other football facility upgrades.

The university just raised $4.25 billion, with a B, for the university as a whole.

The folks who think our football program will be held hostage for multiple years by Jimbo's $90 million contract are fooling themselves. I'd like to think most of y'all are trolling, but I'm sure a number of you really believe it.

None of this including all that NIL $$$ is sustainable.

The rest is imaginary word salad of your complete lack of awareness in this situation.
