A look at Pruitt and Smart's defenses at the Power Five level and how they have applied pressure.

I have always thought Pruitt was better DC than Kirby.

I wouldn't necessarily say "better", but certainly more aggressive and entertaining. If I had to pick a DC (for on field performance only) I'd go with JP cause I like that style.

I think Pruitt is more likely to throw up a bad defensive gameplan than kirby.

But as has been mentioned, he is more aggressive. It definitely gets the buzz (similar to Grantham with all of his empty sacks and tackles for a loss).

1 game with time to prepare... kirby every time. That's based upon Pruitt's defenses at UGA and UGA facing Pruitt h2h.

Btw, that's a really shitty click bait site. Not a good idea to link their articles here.

With comparable talent and time? Pruitt and it’s not close. With UGAs roster? Kirby should be unbeatable.

Watched Pruitt get completely out
schemed by Kurt Roper/Will Muschamp and a bad Florida team in 2014. That's all you need to know.

Spurrier took em to the woodshed earlier in the season with an equally bad team.

Had 2 weeks to prepare for both

Pruitt probably didnt get a lot of time to prepare against Mike Bobo.
Either that or Bobo had more talent at Scar.

It will be interesting to see what Pruitt's defense will look like with the starters back that missed the first two games.
