Could be either the eye test, or punishment for attempting to cover up rape charges among your football team.

Actually, it was two top 10 wins, but because we beat them they fell.

I understand what you are saying, but it doesn't work like that baw.

The committee determines those wins based on where they are currently ranked.

Some of this is just posturing by the Committee and you can see their thinking.
- Where UGA is is irrelevant, as they have 1 path open (SECCG) and may be knocked out this weekend if they lose to Auburn.
- They've set Alabama to be jumped by 1 loss PAC10 champ by having Oregon and Utah ranked just behind them
-they do not expect Baylor or Minnesota to emerge undefeated
-Oklahoma needs a lot of help to jump Alabama, and a loss and two near misses are weighing heavily on them

Presuming LSU doesn't lose the SECCG, Alabama only needs one or both the pac10 teams to stumble to be arguably the most attractive 1 loss team left standing. An unexpected Clemson or Ohio State loss would achieve the same thing

there are two other undefeated teams with better resumes?

I’m really hoping you don’t mean Baylor.

Zero chance Baylor is in no matter what they do.

I should be in the top 4 too. I am also undefeated and haven’t played anyone.

The CFP committee uses:

1) resumes, i.e., quality wins,
2) eye test, game control, i.e., overpowering opponents
3) strength or weakness of schedule, having many quality opponents at one end, or many having teams with very poor records at the other. This applies as well to OOC schedules.

Every team's spot is a mixture of all three,
LSU is good in all three.

Baylor loses out in eye test and and having a weak SoS, especially OOC, as did Minnesota until last week, but the Gophers still lose out with their early games SoS and eye test.

Baylor's quality wins resume is nowhere close to Georgia's, even with their loss.

I guess they watched you eek out an OT win over a team worse than South Carolina this week.

What 2 currently ranked top 25 teams has Baylor beaten? Are talking about Ok.State at 25? Georgia has beaten the number 11 and no.16 team.

BTW, Oklahoma will curb-stomp your @ss Saturday.

Utah and Oregon have an easy remaining path to each other. If one wins convincingly over the other, you guys are toast.

Nobody is taking Baylor seriously and they shouldn’t

Wanna talk about eye test? How about going to OT with Tx Tech and TCU and almost losing to Rice and West Virginia. Those are 4 awful teams. Even the Big 12 came out and said they blew the fumble in OT that would have give Tech the win.

I can’t wait for OU to smoke Baylor so they can go back where they belong.

We’re gonna look back in January after Baylor just played in the Alamo bowl and say “oh yeah I forgot Baylor was undefeated in Nov”.

If your talking eye test what the heck Clemson done did they beat a top 25 team? I think Baylor has played a harder schedule than Clemson so far and if they win out they will have a better resume than Clemson!

Yea somehow this eye test always gives Alabama a boost.

This committee is terribly inconsistent. There are contradictions all in these rankings.

They reward UGA for their wins but have Minnesota 8th even though they have the 2nd best win of the undefeated teams.

Baylor has almost lost 4 times this season. In triple overtime the big 12 refs wrongly awarded Baylor the ball when it was clearly a turnover to Texas Tech that was game over. Needed overtime vs TCU on the road not a great win but not horrible either. Several close wins ooc to lowly schools. Baylor has been ranked just where they should be based on who they played and how they looked when they played them. Winning ranked teams is fine and dandy but if you don’t mop the floor with the scrubs then it doesn’t matter.

Right now OU is ranked right where they should as well.

I have issues with UGA and Florida however. I guess they are using the rival/weather excuse for losing to South Carolina because that’s easily the worst loss out there right now. That Notre dame win and beating overrated Florida is carrying a lot of weight.

Florida seems to be rewarded for beating a 2 loss team Auburn and winning 2 fcs teams ooc but also losing semi close to LSU and UGA. I really can’t figure them out and why Auburn isn’t ranked higher.

And a loss to a team who was down to their 3rd string QB who was converted to a WR.

Don't know why you're singling out Georgia when there are two 2-loss SEC teams ranked directly ahead of your team and for good reason.

Some people can’t get over the idea of valuing wins. They only fixate on losses, and of course nobody ever has as glorious a loss as Bama.
