We loved it when we didn't own it (and we don't own shite now, we're very likely to lose 5 of 6).

He didn't break anything but he's going to be out for a little bit. We don't know exactly how long.

And Bruner is hurt too, could be season ending, but we don't know yet.

Wing depth is good this year so Herb is more replaceable. Center is very suspect with Tchikou and now Bruner injured.

How’s Avery’s team doing this year? Have they hit a free throw down the stretch or able to snap the opponents double digit run each half?

outstanding game by Alabama last night. In total control from the 10 minute mark of the first half.

With that said -- and taking NOTHING away from Alabama -- I think Cal's "one and done" philosophy has finally caught up with them. That team isn't very good at all.

Agree - this is his first team that I watch and just do not see anything there. I'm sure some of these kids will develop into good players (Boston, Jackson), but this team as currently constructed just isn't good. And not in a "they haven't gelled yet" way, just in a "there aren't good pieces here" way. Alabama played the last 10-15 minutes of the game down 3 of our 4 best players and you couldn't tell it at all.

On top of that, Cal's old school bang it inside and shoot mid range jumpers offense is not keeping up with the game.

As you can imagine, when it got to 20 points, I thought back to Alabama's 23 point win at the old Memorial Coliseum in 1974. Worst loss Kentucky ever had at that arena.

I couldn't believe that was the worst home loss of the Calipari era for them.

Alabama's team chemistry can't be understated. This team seems to have bought into Oates' style and geniunely likes each other. These guys can make a run. He's built up some quality depth, too.

Yes - once they settled into roles they've really looked cohesive. It's a very well constructed roster at this point. Bruner is one of the biggest keys to the whole thing, and if he out for a while or the year it's going to really hurt us. He makes up for lots of errors on defense and really helps stretch things on offense.

It's a fun team that seems to have figured out that they are really good - which is fun to watch.

The LSU/Arkansas, Bama/Arkansas, Bama/LSU games of the next 10 days should be really fun.

I spent most of last night's game wondering if Alabama was this good or Kentucky was this bad.

We came into the game with one of our best players out, and lost two of our other best players, and still destroyed them.

I don't see how they managed to hammer Florida in the previous game, but maybe Florida just isn't that good either.

(Or maybe the transitive property is weird and the truth about all of this is somewhere in the middle)

They didn't show up. Must be a corona thing or they were at kneeling practice.

Don't keep up with basketball that much
but I hear the Kentucky Kneelers
are struggling a bit.
