IIRC it was more of a practice helmet.

Yeah, it was common in the past. Corbs is just his own dude. He also carries a little wooden fungo bat with him basically any time he's in uniform. The thing has about a ball and a half perfectly worn spot where over the years he's used it for fielding practice.

Yeah, at 100 pitches and maybe needing him for the Finals, I'd trust the bullpen.

Very deep. We’ve pretty much only used our closer and that was 2 innings two days ago. We’ve got Eder and Smith ready to come in to close a game out.

That’s kind of the gist I got but wasn’t for sure.
And is UofL’s players incapable of calling for the ball? That’s the second time we’ve almost seen disaster for them fielding.
