DKR (Texas) had a cool stadium when you could see the Austin skyline while watching the game. I’ve heard the renovations have ruined that. It’s a shame

Alabama has its fair share of asphalt as well.

Not really

- campus on the north side up to a river
- sorority houses packed in tight on the east side and campus beyond that
- a cemetery on the south side with small streets of houses behind it
- condos/bars on the west side

Add to that the only big parking lot is now gone (Old Tut) and there are zero big lots near the stadium.

I'm a UGA graduate and have lived in Athens or the surrounding area since 1999.

I get it if you look at everything through UGA glasses, but take them off, and you'll notice that downtown Athens is bordered by two housing projects and it smells like urine.

Stillwater, OK, is MUCH nicer. I have not been there on a gameday; so, I can't compare the gameday experience, but I wasn't hit up by panhandlers as I walked around town, and I wasn't worried that my car was going to get broken into while I was at Eskimo Joe's.

Is that why so many from the state of Ohio keep moving there?

I've never been to Akron, but I have been to Columbia.

I had a coworker who was SC grad, and he repeatedly tried to convince me that there were nice areas of Columbia, but he was never able to guide me to them.
