Agree with these.

Combining a 6th foul with fouls resetting after quarters just seems a recipe for more fouling.

Not in the topic but I would love to just see officials urged to swallow the whistle

1) on borderline fouls when no real advantage is gained like slight contact when a shooter makes the shot anyway or player gets the rebound.

2) most importantly: do not feel they have to call a block or charge when contact really seems 50-50. Just play on if it's not obvious one way or the other!!!

Don't care but might as well. They play quarters at the high school and professional level already.

Do not support at all. There's already too much fouling

Definitely.

6 fouls instead of 5

Nope. Just have the refs swallow the whistle once in a while and allow the game to flow more like the pro game. This is the biggest problem with the college game imo.

No. Add an additional line at the NBA range and make it worth 4. J/K...I don't care.

Someone please explain why we need a model at all. If a kid is good enough to go pro out of high school, he should be able to go. If it takes him just one year of college to get drafted, why pin him down for additional years. Are we not all in the business of making the best living we can as early as possible? If a kid doesn't make it after 4, at least he got a degree.

Keep the five fouls and you are out instead of 6

Yes to the rest.

Also add the 20 second reset button on offensive rebounds/defensive fouls in the front court. That speeds the possession up some. I know that I am happy that State is in the NIT but I have enjoyed these changes across the board.

Plus great HS players, please go to Pro. The rest go to college 3 years min.

I like the 4 periods instead of 2 halves. Womens basketball does this and for whatever reason makes the game more fun to watch

This. The quarter system has always been better.

Why does it matter?

6 fouls instead of 5.

No. Five and out is fine. If refs are hammering you that much you either deserve it or your team is doomed anyway

Again why? 3pt line is fine where it is

Id support this one. One and done thing is stupid and things would be much more consistent with kids staying longer

Whats the deal with quarters? Why?

The bigger question is should the OP put one or two fingers in his own pussy

It has already been explained more than once in this thread. Big reason is the fouls resetting.

NBA 3 point line. 4 quarters.

Must stay 3 years like Football.

How about award 1 point and the ball to the fouled team on first 5 fouls, and 2 points and the ball after fifth foul. That would cut 10 minutes off the game time. Change time outs to 90 seconds and team has to be in position when the 90 seconds end or a 2 point penalty.

Of course but the problem here is that the NCAA has no control over this. The Baseball rule is supported by MLB. The NBA cucks will not support this.

Hell no. Pros play more min and get same foul/min index as college. Managing foul trouble is part of the game...

I thought about this one for a while because it sounded novel and cool but it dawned on me that this would allow the Refs to score points for a team. This would create the biggest cheating scandal of all time or the biggest referee conspiracy theory of all time... This would be critical in a close game at the end. No can do.

Definitely yes. Having watched LSU in the NIT, I thought it paced the game a lot better.

if they decide to shorten the shot clock, yes. Might work with the quarter system.

If they open the lane, yes.

that would be great for the game. It'd be nice to see stars stick around awhile.

I’m all for the 4 quarters but I’m against moving the 3pt line. If they want to make it more difficult why don’t they reduce the diameter of the goal (yes I know this will affect women’s ball as well). I just see enough player collisions with sideline reports/bench already. Hate to make it even tighter than it already is.

Make 2 changes the deeper 3 point line and use the college baseball rule. Everything else stays the same

Yes to 4 quarters, move the 3 point line back to the international line, no to a 6th foul. Play within the damn rules. If you have 5 fouls in 40 minutes regularly, you're a thug, an enforcer. Very much against the one and done rule, but take a look at the college hockey model before we go charging down the baseball path. I like the baseball model better, but with all the bullshite out there around basketball, it might be easier to adopt the hockey model. Wetzel
