Mizzou fans have a strong delusion of their program. You have beaten Arkansas with a drunk (Bert) and a HS coach.
Odom has improved every defense he has been the DC of

Then how come Arkansas still gave away 50 points to lose to Missouri? Then at the end of the year Drinkwitz let two coaches walked that gave up lots of points to Arkansas, Florida, LSU, Tennessee, MSU, Alabama, and Georgia. Current DC and CB/DB coach are a lot better than the other two that went elsewhere.

Hmm seems like we had two DL out, LB and our AA safety.

That would hurt most defenses unless you are a top 10 team. That was also year one.

Can’t wait for you to come to a real football stadium this year and take an L.

I have laid out the facts of his time as a DC. Don’t let facts get in your way for a man as HC. He isn’t our HC

Yes, he has but last year might be a hiccup due to COVID-19. This year we will see if he gets his team to bounce back.

“ Wow! Is Orgeron really that far down on the list?
NICK SABAN, ALABAMA
KIRBY SMART, GEORGIA
JIMBO FISHER, TEXAS A&M
DAN MULLEN, FLORIDA
SAM PITTMAN, ARKANSAS
CLARK LEA, VANDERBILT
ELIAH DRINKWITZ, MISSOURI
LANE KIFFIN, OLE MISS
SHANE BEAMER, SOUTH CAROLINA
MARK STOOPS, KENTUCKY
JOSH HEUPEL, TENNESSEE
BRYAN HARSIN, AUBURN
MIKE LEACH, MISSISSIPPI STATE
ED ORGERON, LSU”

Stupid list….I mean stupid is stupid.

Leach will be at State until he retires which I figure will be about 10 years. His track record says he averages about 9 years at each stop. I don’t see any difference here. Plus at his age I just don’t see him doing another gig. He will be successful.

Kiffin will be successful as well but no reason exist that they can’t both be successful and stay long term. Though obviously Kiffin’s track record says otherwise.

Vandy is the safest job on the planet: Lea should be ranked ahead of Saban.

Yeah right, Ed O is on the hottest seat in the SEC even though he just won a Natty with the greatest college football team ever in history and reeled in a $55 million dollar windfall for the university. Has a win/loss record of 13 & 5 against top-10 opponents in four years, which is by far the greatest in the country, and has finished in the top-five in national recruiting for the past three years in a row and is ranked number one in the SEC in recruiting currently.

Don't believe one word the fake news media spews. I wouldn't believe CBS News if they told me the sky color was blue. After all they insist that man-made global warming is real. Yeah right.

The difference is he now has to win 9 games a year in the SEC, while coaching at Misssippy State.

Have you checked out Missouri's new DC? Some of you laughed at Missouri fans after Pittman hired Odom and said Missouri defense will be bad now. Missouri still beat Arkansas! Then Missouri and Drinkwitz got lucky to see the DC and DB/CB got job elsewhere. Missouri got two good coaches for the DC and CB/DB position. Both are huge upgrade over the those that left.

Its simple.

Win or be fired.
Alums, TAF's, Power Brokers, sane and normal LSU season ticket holders/fans say 10-2 minimum of GTFO.

No excuses and no dysfunction anywhere in 2021.

Keep an eye on Southwest Louisiana Junior College at Lafayette and their HC. If the Miracle Worker can produce another Top 15-20 type season and LSU falters at all, then Napier will be 50 miles east in 2022.

Woodward just itching to pull the trigger on a big football hire and BN stayed put at the Junior College even when offered much bigger jobs.

He got basically a free year where he gets praised for going 3-7, he's not going to get that again and he already had the team playing at their ceiling.

I think he could be on the hot season quicker than people think.
I lost brain cells reading this.

Go ahead and explain how winning four SEC games with a team that was projected to win one in his first year is him getting a "free year"? He had no spring practice and still improved the team. Pretty sure that's just called exceeding expectations.

No he does not have to win 9 games a year at State. Our fans understand patience and are realistic. He is a proven winner and will win here. This year, I have no idea how many games we will win but we will be improved. At the end of last year, the team started to gel and played very well considering we only had about 45-50 players on the roster.
The painful process of shedding the malcontents and quitters is basically behind us.

The list is total BS. Barring any scandal, there will be no turnover in HC’s this year inside the SEC.

One thing I like about Leach is he could care less about criticism/nabobs/whiners. He knows what he is doing and he will stick to that and it will work even in the SEC.

Yeah, Coach Stoops seat isn't hot at all. We love the guy.

Hiccup? With a normal schedule last years team was 9-4 including our bowl win over NC State. With the all SEC schedule instead we were 5-6. The only hiccup last year in all seriousness was the Mizzou game. Total no show that day.

so a coach that has been fired at every stop minus two is a huge upgrade with no college experience? Big difference in college style offenses and the pros.

You realize Odom has never been fired as a DC right?

Your current DC couldnt even get a DC job for a year and if you want to clown on Odom for being a bad HC well take a look at your DC. Did he make it a year as a HC?

Bobby Petrino hired a guy by the name of Willy Robinson to coach his defense at Arkansas so spare me on the hes been an NFL DC. Robinson was a former NFL DC and DB coach just like Wilks. He wasnt a good DC at Arkansas.

Wilks didnt have any NFL or college offers outside of Mizzou to be DC. He wont have that talent he had at Carolina. You could have run that defense

College football hot seat rankings:

Any list where Stoops isn't with Saban and Smart isn't a list at all. UK would only fire Stoops if he did some Tennessee/LSU/Kansas/North Carolina level dirty dealings.

In any case, Kentuck ain't taking half the mediocrity from their basketball coach as they gladly take from Stoops. Still azz backward from every other SEC team in existence, not named Vandy.

Lane Kiffin has placed himself on the hot seat. As in, he can't wait to move on to a real school as soon as he gets an opportunity. I bet he goes like 8-4 or 9-3 this year and then bolts while his stock is high.

all of these coaches have been hired in the offseason or prior to last season. Of course they're not on a hot seat

Orgeron being a 4 is hyperbole. Unless the off-the-field stuff gets worse this year, he'd need to have a losing record to get fired after next season, and that still may not do it with the extension he signed prior to last season

Pretty remarkably low hot-seat numbers. History says someone will be fired, but no obvious candidates this year.

8 of the 14 head coaches in the SEC are going to be in year 1 or 2 on the job.
