It's bama's conference schedule that is always fishy.
They always seem to play Vandy, Mizzouri, Kentucky in the regular season while almost never playing Florida or Georgia.

unlike Bama - Cupcake U

Bama has been notorious for scheduling a cupcake for its first game in November. At one point, I think they had beat that team something like 8 times in a row.

Lol

Unfortunately, TV ratings dictate that opponents get a bump/boost in ratings.
(This is not unique to Bama. All top teams get it).

Do you want to revisit final AP rankings?

Some of Alabama’s “cupcake” opponents are literally better than Rutgers, Kansas, Oregon St and a few others. Cowherd “Mr Pac 12”, needs to shut up.

Cowherd couldn't put together a well thought out idea if his life depended upon it. He is a shite flinging monkey. He knows it. But that's the best that his brain can aspire to.

Not true at all. Not even remotely true.

But understand, Cowherd isn't interested in saying "truth". He's interested in trying play that middle ground, between having a "hot take" that will come back and bite him in the arse a couple weeks later ... and building a brand where he's trying to get you to listen to his hot takes, while giving him the wiggle room to keep listening even when he's wrong.

He's the Phil Donahue of sports radio. Not a bad place to be, in all honesty. But you have to understand, he trolls you sometimes. He sometimes says shite he doesn't mean. He's just more subtle about it than some.

I've often felt sorry for the Bama fans as they only had 1, 2 or 3 really decent games per year other than the SEC championship or playoffs. Lately they've beefed up the schedule, and now UGA fans have the dismal schedule this year.

UGA's schedule is down simply because adding OU took that game off of this year's schedule.

They played Oregon last year, Clemson before that and Clemson next year followed by series with UCLA, FSU, Louisville, OSU, NCSU and multiple series against Clemson. Combined with a yearly matchup against GT, UGA has the best scheduling in the conference.

But the SEC took the OU game away this season so... it is what it is. A one year dip.

He thinks now that the conferences are growing, there will be some great games every weekend, unlike Bama - Cupcake U, etc. Better games, and more of them, plus he said the traditional matchups will still be retained.

And this is why the "super conference" idea where every top school plays every other is just short-sighted. And devoid of reality, honestly.

There are only thirty-two NFL teams. They only play each other. The worst team in the NFL is still the 32nd best pro football team on the planet. Yet the worst teams are never considered anything other than sucky football teams.

Alabama and Georgia will not have their brand if they play each other ten times a year. Mix in LSU and Texas. Hell - mix in Oklahoma and whatever other team you want to put into that magical, mystical "most super of the super" divisions. Let 'em play home and away.

At least half of those teams will be, suddenly, "losers". To have winners, you have to have losers. For every 'Bama, you need a Vandy. For every Georgia, a Kentucky. It makes the mix better when the Vandy and Kentucky not suck now and then. Just like you only went to see Ric Flair when you thought he just might, maybe lose.

I don't listen to him.
I catch the soundbites that get shared on the twitter.

I listened probably 15 years ago and I disagree. But if you say he has changed, I can only rely on your ear if I'm being honest.

Yeah. He was trying to compete with Jim Rome back in the day. He's evolved. That's part of what you have to understand with Cowherd. There is nothing ... absolutely nothing ... that will ever come out of his mouth that is concrete. He's always moderating what he says, according to the feedback he gets. He's a car salesman. He loves Ford today. Next week, it might be GM or Ram.

Thing is - I think he's more honest about it than most of the talking heads today. He's arrived at a spot where he does "Collin Right, Collin Wrong". You won't hear many of these pricks admit to the wrong.

Yet, yes, he's still a blow-hard. He insists on controlling his little massively coordinated two hour a day radio spot. He wouldn't survive fifteen minutes in a bar where he could be shouted down. But he's less of a blowhard that 99% of sports media. A low bar, to be sure.

This doesn't comprehend for me. Pissing in the air to see which way the wind blows is not a mark of genius. It is not a mark of integrity. It is not a mark of character.

Car salesman and honest are not terms which are commonly used as bedfellows.

You sound like someone with ADD who struggles to get your thoughts together (I don't wish that comment as a shot against you, but I don't know any other way you can take it).
It sounds like you would suck Cowherd's dick since you think it is evolved (i.e. honest carsalesman. Ford guy today. Ram guy tomorrow).

Then show me anyone who writes, or says, anything of record regarding opinion that survives long ? They don't. They all drift and blow with public opinion - because they have to. They're literally giving you nothing as a product. They are, by definition, just trying to tell you what you want to hear.

The genius, if you want to call it that, is admitting the product is what it is. That's Cowherd. They're all just pissing in the wind. He's figured out that he can't piss in your eye, yet needs to piss in your general direction to keep you interest.

You want "honesty" ? Then My God - shite-can modern talk radio and TV. Even the dumb bitches on The View don't really believe some of the shite they say. They're saying it to create heat. Make ratings. No different than old school Pro Wrestling.

Cowherd does it with a slightly more straight take - but he's still trying to sell tickets. Nothing more. None of the big names have character. None.

I don't listen to cowherd.

I have a choice of who I want to listen to.

And I don't choose "traditional media".

I don't choose anything that smells like the 4 letter network.

I choose Josh Pate.
I choose Cole cubelic.
I choose College Football Nerds.
I choose Cover3 Podcast.

None of them tell me what I want to hear.
None of them are talking head blowhards who change their opinion with their underwear.

They are a better product.
They are a better voice.
And whether I like their opinion or not, I believe they have real reasons holding up the foundation for their beliefs.

I don't think you would suck Cowherds dick. Not after it has been shoved this far up your arse.
