If that game didn't convince you that LSU and Ole Miss are still rivals, then nothing will.
I get that Bama is a much bigger game and one that we think about 24/7/365. Beating Ole Miss usually (2014 a very notable exception) means little but losing to them still stings in no small part because they are an old rival and one that we are supposed to be able to beat.
It would certainly help the rivalry if the game were played closer to Halloween as is traditional.

That isn't some controversial stance. Academia at the school is referred to as The University of Mississippi. Athletics is referred to as Ole Miss.
