Schnall knew what he was doing.....................get chunked and fire up his troops, since their backs were against the wall, and play the "David vs. Goliath" thing.
Didn't work the best won, again.

You are a retard.
The ump told him 4 times to go back in the dugout and he kept coming.

Who the hell argues balls and strikes in the 1st inning?? He was warned. 1st year coach over his head.

The telling part in all of this is how you keep having to downplay what actually happened.
At some point you have to stop engaging with the idiot.

Campos, a former MLB umpire, has a long history of quick ejections and a reputation for a volatile strike zone. His major league career ended in 2014 after 585 games and 23 ejections. While no official reason was ever given for his release, speculation around inconsistent performance and temperament has followed him into the college ranks.
So there seems to be an issue with him and flaunting his power on the diamond. Going back 18 years to MLB and then in the recent years with Clemson and notably again yesterday.
The game should have been about LSU winning the National Championship (and congrats by the way). But this umpire made it, unnecessarily, about himself in the first inning. He could’ve of easily handled the situation with some context and patience.
But no, he insisted on escalating quickly to ejection status. Thus taking away from LSU what should have been all about them.
Instead 90% of the conversation has been about him.
So that sums it up right there.

Do you hold the coach accountable for any of this? He was warned before the game. By several sources warned again in the 1st. By his own admission warned 3 times and told to return to the dugout after those warnings and yet he still had to get another shot in at the ump.
He either thought he could bully the ump because it's a championship game and he thought pressure would be on the ump not to boot him, or he just isn't emotionally stable enough to lead young men

Jay's comments were perfect. When asked a direct question about the ejection, Jay did not say anything negative about their coach. Just said, I was too locked in to pay attention to what was going on over there
CFP or bust in 25 for BK. No more excuses. Butter Kreme has been here long enough and he's had ample time to build the program. Either we're IN or he's OUT after the season...........

Who will be the next LSU HC if LSU doesn't make it to the CFP this coming season?

Ignore the chirping. Umps do it all the time.
Do tell how to ‘ignore the chirping’ when the coach is 7 steps out of the dugout and refusing to go back in after multiple warnings.
Also, according the rule book, it specifically states that a coach SHALL be ejected for arguing balls and strikes after warning. Not might. Not could. SHALL. Specific and direct wording. I’m sorry Coastal’s coach couldn’t keep his cool in one of the biggest games his program will ever play in.
On another note….i saw a graphic earlier that showed that CC’s team was awarded 225 strikes that were out of the strike zone this season due to the way their catcher frames the pitch. No hate on the catcher for that unique skill, but weird to get indignant about balls and strikes when you’ve been given ‘the call’ possibly more than any other team in the country.

I’m just glad that lsu fans will no longer complain about refs anymore. Football season will not be nearly as interesting around here.

So if the ump had a famous dust up with another South Carolina school, it would seem to me a good coach would know better than to antagonize him. This coach is dumb for not knowing he was dealing with a no nonsense umpire, or super dumb for knowing, and still provoking him.
