With as well as he’s recruited and as much talent as LSU has, 5 losses could do it. 6-6 or worse and he gone.

I think the type of losses will have a lot to do without. A couple of close or overtime games against top ten teams...as much as blowouts against rivals or even an upset against the JV teams.

The talent on the defense should keep us in every game. If we lose 2-3 because of offensive errors or inefficiency, it sucks, but should be expected.

The offensive line has to step up in a way they're probably just not talented enough to do. We have exactly 1 player that's capable of playing the traditional tight end role. I like Max, but I don't think he can elevate this team past the best they can be.

If he goes worse than .500 he gets fired. 6-6 to 8-4 his seat is warm but keeps his job to get one more year.

9-3 or better and he is fine

An argument that his superior recruiting ability helped secure him the LSU job? No doubt.

It is also what would keep his job secure for another season if we were to go 8-4. If he were recruiting at the level of say Dan Mullen, he would likely be gone or at the very least, needing a huge 2022 to survive with that record.

Irrelevant. This is a better team than the one that went 10-3 in 2018 that had Georgia and Miami on the schedule.

Coach O’s margin of error?

How short is his leash at the moment?

Ed O, according to you is on a short leash? Really? That's news to me. You mean the same Ed O that has won over 76 percent of his games since he has been at LSU, an SEC Western Division title, an SEC Championship title, and a Natty title with the greatest college football team ever in the history of college football, and that 15 & 0 season in 2019 is the absolute best season all time at LSU. All the while he also brought home a cool $55 million dollar bonanza for LSU, while also winning SEC Head Coach of the Year honors and numerous National Head Coach of the year honors, along with his players winning a Heisman Trophy and every other major award in college football, while he also put 20 players into the NFL from only one team in only one year and in which shatters the old record by a mile. Not to mention that Ed O's win-loss record against top-10 opponents is 13 & 5, which is by far the best record in the country. Meanwhile, Ed O has also brought home three straight top-five national recruiting classes in a row and is on his way to another one in the 2022 recruiting season.

So how is Ed O, according to you, on a short leash? Did your dumb mother drop you on your head when you were a little baby or something? Indeed, stop reading and believing fake news articles.

His seat is already pretty warm just with how last year went

No its not, his seat is warm because of the lawsuit. Everyone wrote off last year.

7-5 and his seat gets really hot. But he could go 1-11 if the one W was against Bama

This is totally false. I swear I hate this fanbase sometimes. Can we stop with the Alabama obsession? It's just sad now man.

No, he is not. As that lawsuit is without merit, is frivolous, and more than anything else, an attempt to extort money from LSU.

Orgeron could goto midfield during a game and take a giant shite on the eye of the tiger and this idiot would blame the grounds crew for not properly fertilizing the grass.

Short, 7-5 or worse gets him fired.

8-4 he has to clean house to save his job.

I've heard some fans say 8-4 gets him fired, I don't think the leash is necessarily that short.

Yeah, those people don't know shite. The guy had a historic 15-0 season just two years ago. He made what turned out to be an awful defensive hire last year (though Pelini was great the first time around) and LSU struggled mightily because of it. But he also lost the most production that any national champion in the playoff era has lost and then on top of that he had 3 major COVID opt outs of guys who were all drafted (including a top 5 pick). And then he had to play true freshman QBs for 75% of the season due to his QB getting injured early in the season. And they did manage to somehow still pull off the upset of the year and finish the season strong with two Ws to finish at .500

He continues to recruit at an extremely high level and as long as his new coordinator hires are not terrible like Pelini was, LSU will be in very good shape. Last year was just a weird year from start to finish. If they did go 7-5 or something like that, 2022 would likely be the year he would get canned if there wasn't a huge improvement. I think they'll be very good this year though.

Hot take: LSU is closer to being an almost annual playoff program than they are to imploding.

Offensive line recruitment and development is the hurdle we haven't been able to get over. If we can start bringing in better line talent, the sky is the ceiling.

Says the Tom Herman gay scumbag who is dedicated to hating Ed O no matter what from here to eternity.

Go ahead and hate you dumb loser, but one thing you can't ever do, is take Ed O's outstanding record of success since he has been at LSU away from him and you also can't even cover it up.

I think Coach O is awesome.

I hate excuses. I believe in giving coaches credit when they do well and blame when they shite the bed. Will Wade is my favorite LSU coach since Saban and when he fricks up I let him have it.

You're just an excuse maker. It's pathetic.
