O handled that well. You can tell he’s living his best life in retirement. Getting a cool $17M to quit will do that I suppose, but I’m happy he seems to be in a good place

Seems like a bit of an over-reaction to me.
I think the guy was just trying to be tongue in cheek friendly to him.
Maybe it's just an Alabama thing, but doing this is pretty common between Alabama and Auburn fans. You're just supposed to say whatever back(Go Tigers in this case), laugh and go about your day.
