First time playcallers dont produce the greatest college football offense ever right out of the gate.

And those guys usually have some other offensive coaching experience.

Yeah, it was the guy who ran the offense that got shut out vs Alabama the previous year who caused it all.

Come on man, give the guy some credit. He's now an OC for a NFL team.

It seems like Tua's legs couldve been utilized more but maybe they were worried about injuries.

Me:

I don't think it really matters or that LSU's offense is going to be terrible.

You projecting your worries and fears about your offense next year on me:

However suggesting he is the golden goose for LSU's offensive resurgence last season is misguided.

And Kliff Kingsbury is an NFL HC but not because he was a good college HC

Do you think the Panthers called Ensminger and realized he wouldn't leave LSU... Then decided that his assistant Brady was good enough to be a n NFL OC right away.

Or they took a chance on Brady since he was the one mostly behind the record breaking offense at LSU and this was apparent during their interview process.

You don’t think LSU picked up some stuff from Brady?

Who hired that guy anyway

Probably won't have to wait long until another thread that warrants it gets posted.

I think that Ensminger knew how to organize an offense, install it in one offseason and organize it into a playbook and a game plan each week. I think Brady brought the knowledge of which plays and formations to run and how to create mismatches with those formations and motions. Brady learned the things he needed to learn to become an OC and Ensminger learned the things he needed to continue to run the spread concepts that Brady brought in. It isn't a difficult concept to comprehend.

What is funny is that I remember last year before the start of the season. Tiger fans were excited about the possibility of having an innovative offensive approach and the rest of the SECRant was laughing at the ridiculousness of LSU fans thinking an unknown assistant coach was going to be a savior.

You changed your offense because of the struggles.

What does that have to do with Joe Brady? Are you suggesting they both got hired because they give good head. Are they bringing in the ticket and jersey sales?

I agree and it explains why the Panthers hired Brady instead of Ensminger.

They’ve gone all in on saying Burrow and Brady were a fluke

Which isn’t a terrible position

The lack of self awareness by Bama fans is astounding
