He is so cavalier and competitive and confident about recruiting that it'll be his blind spot that gets him. All that "frick You Bama!" stuff... He is such a swashbuckler and a lot of kids love that shite. But you gotta figure the guy isn't going to button up a loose end somewhere, and there will be some shite go down with a hotly contested recruiting battle. The REC will be right there to pounce. Plus, he and Will Wade in the same athletic dept. They are liable to burn that motherfricker down before they're through

You can just smell the fear in the room coming from REC right now. RTWFY

The country does seem to be trending that way, don't we?

Yep. Mutually assured destruction. I don't think Bama has the power of top cover from the NCAA any more. Between Nicky's former colleague Woodward and O's bestest bud Kiffin, we know where the bodies are buried.

At some level, I understand, I do.

However, if one believes he is the only HC to ever speak in such a manner....whoa nellie

Have you watched these grown men on the sidelines? What do you think they say/do behind closed doors? Precisely what you saw LSU's HC do.

The coach should remain neutral. You don’t think parents of blue chip prospects aren’t going to say “I don’t want you playing for that jerk”? I mean if he keeps it up. I’m just trying to keep LSU good with the universe instead of fighting a battle we don’t have to. All because talking arrogant smack is “so cool” It’s cool I’ll drop it

Man you'd be curled up in a fetal position if you spent any time around the spec ops community. The "f-bomb" is used about as frequently as "the" and "a".

It ain’t about the language. Is our fan base loaded with so many shite talking tough guys that we’re all blind to this being a problem? Our coach is being disrespectful in a way that’s very uncommon coming from a coach and no one wants him to pump the brakes. You won’t John Crese as our coach lol or Terry Silver?

What bases do you have to call this "uncommon"?

Wow. That's all you got? This is one of the dumbest posts I've ever read. Literally. You are linking an impassioned locker room speech to recruiting violations. Retarded.

It is very common. It just happens that this time a player happened to capture it on his cell phone.

Last year what did Saban say about LSU: "We elect to kick their arse." Did you whine and cry about that?

Have you ever been in a football locker room? First, 17-18 recruits eat that shite up. Second, even Finebaum and most of the guys on SECN have mocked all the people that are offended by this. Third, players want a coach that has a warrior mentality and they see that in Coach O.

No parent would say some dumb shite like this. Parents love coach O. This shite gets said in every locker room across the US.

I'm not at all saying I have a problem with Saban saying "we elect to kick their arse", but if he said that in public can you imagine what he said in the locker room? I don't have a problem with whatever he said.

I’ve just never heard another coach say something about another school in the same manner as a person who’s trolling someone. I guess I’ve never seen a coach make it so personal. Most coaches stay very impartial because coaching is like holding a political office. Coach is talking shite and busting chops like a fan. Cool. I’m just gonna roll with it.
