Will Clowney be drafted with a lot of hype and talent then not have the work ethic to make it in the NFL?

I see where you're going, and agree to a degree - he does appear to be lazy / selfish / take plays off.

But Clowney's talent >>> Russell. So much so I doubt he's a monumental bust. Just a run of the mill bust.

I think JR was more well rounded as a QB than JC is as a DE. I believe they will have very similar career paths, but JR will have made more money

Greg Hardy pouted, bitched, stayed hurt, smoked weed, and played X box all the way through the Nutt era. He's doing great with the Panthers and will probably sign a monster contract extension this year.

Clowney does not have a work ethic problem. Clowney is not outta shape. Clowney has been done a disservice by the play of Chaz Sutton. He has carried SCs defense while Dixon44 and the freshmen LBs have gained experience. What he has done this year, is be an unselfish teammate and grown into a leader. His struggles this year will make him a better NFL player.
