Don’t disagree and appreciate your perspective from actually playing the position. I just err on the side of if it happened at least 3-5 times I don’t think it was the WRs. Could be a mixture.
I mean it could be the WRs. We had one in the end zone where two WRs were right there together. That should NEVER happen. When you see two of your WRs together in one passing zone somebody ran the wrong route.

I’d like to know where that DJ went, even considering the step up in competition to UGA.
First game jitters. Last year he knew Lawrence would be back and he was only a placeholder. This is his year so the pressure is more on him to deliver.(My guess)

I honestly think the ACC is going to end up being better than the recent past. NC, Miami and FSU should get straightened out and have good years.
good to have reasonable discussion. I do think development and toughness are the issues on the OL because we have recruited well for several years there.

Maybe you should check yourself into a mental hospital today.

I still don't understand why Clemson did nothing to slow down those blitzes or give their QB some easy passes. It was obvious he was shook when y'all sacked him with a 3 man rush. Roll him out, give him half the field to read, call some screens or swing passes. Clemson's gameplan appeared to be attack the inexperienced secondary down the field and give their big WRs opportunities for jump balls. Which is fine, but why they thought that OL they put on the field was good enough to buy that kind of time is a mystery.
I was thinking the same thing early in the game. But when Clemson dumped some passes out wide we stopped that, too. I think some of thta credit has to go to Auburn, believe it or not. Their whole passing attack seemed to be buble sscreens and pass out wide along the LOS, so our DBs have gottne very good at coming up and stopping those. Uiegeleilei just didn't have enough time to get the ball down field and our DB covered the WRs very well. Part of that was because we played 6 DBs (I think)a good bit and began rushing three and bringing a LB from time to time.

Sorry. Just being honest.

Literally saw an Ohio State fan on Twitter saying the refs cost them the natty title game
Seemed to me like trying to cover DeVonta Smith with a LB had a lot to do with costing Ohio St. the natty title game.

Georgia won. You lost. Own it bitch.

You do realize Ga literally didn't have our starters or 2 deep at WR/TE? Not to mention losing our OG 2nd play of the game. Our I will look very different in a few weeks when most are back.

Georgia just had an excellent defensive game plan, and Clemson couldn't adjust, or didn't have the ability to do what needed to be done.
When Georgia can stop the run with only Jordan Davis, Jalen Carter, and Devontae Wyatt, it is going to be a very long night for the opposing offense.
This front seven is as good as Georgia has ever had. That was my main takeaway from this game. The front seven sped the game up like DJU has not seen before. This was a different animal than Boston College or Notre Dame.

Same to you. We’ll see on the ACC. I think fsu and VT have a chance to be solid teams with a possible on NCST. I think UNC lost too much from last years run. That said, it’ll all end up proven through ACC play other than UNC getting a crack at ND later. Perception is reality and right now perception is the ACC sucks and it’s hard to argue given week 1 results. I think Bama will blow a lot of teams out again so it doesn’t say a ton about Miami, but the cumulative OOC record remains poor.
