Well, that's because the Clemson Tigers are a whole lot better football team than LSU, Alabama and everybody else in the SEC.

Ok, I'm not going to get into the trolling game here. But yeah, the hope is that Bama losing will adjust the recruiting.
It's not so much that LSU's recruiting would improve, but that Bama's might drop off some.
I mean, I was thinking about that during the playoffs, watching Bama run the ball. Stud RB from Oklahoma broke out in the semi's, stud RB from Cali ripping off runs in the finals.
Those are traditionally going to Oklahoma and USC, not both at Alabama (where they scoop up plenty from the south too). Tua should probably be at Oregon.
You break the sense that going to Alabama will automatically get you multiple rings, and you will see more guys stay at the local programs.
If it gets more regional, then yeah, I'm hopeful that LSU's base will be more competitive with the elites.
