It's not like Knoxville is some bustling major city. Knoxville is pretty isolated

This is retarded. Its one of the fastest growing cities in the SEC in one of the fastest growing states in the country

I agree. His stubbornness to get with the NIL and transfer port will be the end up him there.

If you go back and look at the plays, Clemson simply had no idea what they were doing on either side of the ball. On damn near every defensive play, their edges would fold the defense back into a v pattern opening up the outside for huge gains. LSU exploited that all night and like clockwork, when they played close, LSU would slice them in the gut up the middle. It was amazingly inept. They didn't look just like a bad team. They are legitimately poorly coached.

likely better than last year. Too early to say that but they were very stout.

Yep, it's about time to take Dabo out behind the barn & put him out of his misery.

Damn you. Don’t make me defend Knoxville.

That is a piss poor take for a city on I-75 and I-40. A metropolitan population of over 870,000.

NIL/Portal era has ran over Clemson/Dabo

Only somewhat. Clemson's entire run was built on Tennessee being in complete chaos and picking up QBs and roster talent that we'd have signed otherwise. As soon as Tennessee started to stabilize and keep/take back those recruits Clemson was doomed. Dabo should've adapted and the portal gave him that option but he refused.

But Clemson was built on our ashes. The time we were in the gutter was their peak and our rebuild has been their decline.

This will be his last year

Dabo has a $57 million dollar buyout in 2026. Based on the wording in his contract it will be $60 million in 2027. And he has no mitigation clause, so Clemson will have to pay in full regardless of whether he gets another job.

This. It was fine when he has legit coordinators. Clemson has a ton of talent. Think about how poorly coached you have to be to only win 7 games in the ACC and have 9 players drafted. He got the job as a nobody wide receivers coach because he was a bagman. He does deserve credit for making good coordinator hires.

Having an elite level QB is worth at least a 3 game swing in final record.

LSU killed Larry Coker and may have just done it again with Dabo.

I’ve watched a lot of ACC football these past couple weekends. Outside of 5 players on Miami I don’t think any player in that conference would start for an SEC team.

He should come to Arkansas. The AD who still thinks it’s 2015 would love him. Match made in heaven.

Dabo's a good man but he's not a good fit for the current CFB environment.

I don't even like thinking too much on the QBs Clemson got that would've gone to Tennessee had we not been a goddamned train wreck. And that's without factoring WR and DB talent etc.

But as soon as that pipeline started getting shut off Dabo should've gone with a different recruiting plan. He straight up refused to change. Also, losing Venables was destructive as hell for them imo.

Clemson should've parlayed all that success into a national recruiting strat.

Yea..the old way does not work Dabo. May need a Portal coach to help you fit with the times.

LSU didn't kill Dabo but his inevitable loss to a really shitty ACC team will.

Dabo embraced the NIL and transfer portal. He’s a phony, holier than thou coach who had a defensive coordinator that was extremely good at stealing signs. Venables is gone and he doesn’t have a generational talent at QB.

Clemson has always been run of the mill and they are again.

That shouldn’t take away from what LSU did. 37 1st downs against the worst power 4 team is still incredible. Over 600 yards and complete defensive dominance.

LSU has been plagued over the year by having great talent that was undisciplined. They would get exploited by shifts and fakes. Get out of position and give up big plays.

The new coaching staff had LSU in position all game. I saw one busted coverage that wasn’t exploited. This will carry to any team they play.

ClemPson may not be good, but LSU showed they have the discipline necessary to compete at a high level.
